Good hotelPosted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Location, room size, friendliness of staff
I booked this hotel as we were en route home from holidays and this was ideally placed also as my husband wanted to look up a great-uncles war grave at Oosterbeek cemetery. The room was ideally sized for us and our three year old daughter. We were given a room on the second floor, with a balcony. As we were later in arriving, the restaurant was booked out - so it pays to either be early or book ahead. We also made use of the hotel facilities. The swimming pool was a good place to relax and also to let our three year old let off some steam (after being stuck in the car for most of the day!). We pretty much had the pool to ourselves for the first half hour and then gave the other users a break from the three year old! Very nice facilities and a good steam room too. Breakfast was served in the annex building and was plentiful - kept us full up nicely until lunchtime. The staff were extremely helpful too. We stayed here as a family and it was good, but might be more suited to couples.

PROXIMITY TO NATIONAL PARKPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: Easy access to and fro
Cons: Noisy with traffic passing by. Breakfast is pedestrian,
Location: Proximity to Arnhem and national forest preserve.
If eco-tourism is your calling card or you have a conference in Arnhem, this a good choice.

Nice location, needs some improvementsPosted Apr 19, 2011
Stayed for 2 nights to attend an exhibition in nearby Arnhem. The hotel is on a very pleasant and convenient location, comprising a complex of old and new buildings. Major disappointment was that the pool and sauna were out of action. The building where my room was had a slightly unpleasant smell of stale food. There was no lift, and taking cases up the steep stairs may present a problem for some. Room was nice with a balcony overlooking trees. Internet connection was both expensive and slow. Restaurant was good, all staff attentive and friendly. Displays of pictures gave the hotel a quirky feeling which I liked. I'd use it again, but nothing to really recommend it, I'm afraid!
