“A warm, super friendly and comfortable in the heart of Heidelberg”

The owners of the Goldener Falke along with their incredible staff made this place a super friendly establishment right in downtown Heidelberg. Fantastic breakfasts and a great restaurant offering a wide variety of choices. The rooms were very very comfortable and super clean. The location is so fantastic that you step right into the heart of bustling Heidelberg just a few steps from the Heliggeist Kirche. If you are lucky enough as I was to have a room overlooking the square you can view daily life in this city from above seeing everything from weddings at the Rathaus, singing from the taverns and tourists, market sellers hawking their wares and the church bells ringing with a view across the top of the city...spectacular! I most certainly will choose the Goldener Falke for my hotel upon my next visit.

hotel is beautiful. well maintained. great big bathtubs, awesome views. the square it sits on gets loud pretty much all night with partiers so bring your earplugs.

“Great location in Heidelberg”

The hotel is within walking distance to main shopping area and the Schloss Heidelberg so the location is outstanding. If you come by car you must park in a parking structure that is easily accessible by foot, 5 min walk, cost was 12Euros for 24 hrs at this time. Family spoke good English for those of you who don't speak German. Breakfast was outstanding! I would certainly recommend this hotel.

This is a small, cozy hotel, with friendly efficient staff. Resturant has very good food. Prices are not bad.

“Amazing city, great hotel”

My husband & I stayed here for two nights at the end of March 2012. We reached the hotel by taking a bus from the rail station to the base of the funicular railway to the castle. That bus stop is about 150 metres from the hotel in the main square. The room was clean & well appointed. The room was a big size for two people and the bathroom was immaculate. Our room overlooked the Main Square – which was beautiful, but I suspect might be a bit noisy from late night revelers in the summer time. Breakfast was included in the room rate. It was a good mix of English & European breakfast – cereals, pastries, bread, yoghurt, fruit, cold meats and cheeses and boiled eggs. Quite satisfying. The breakfast room also operates as a restaurant throughout the day. Free internet was available. The room had to be paid when we arrived because it was not charged through Expedia. One trick to remember is that the hotel reception is actually the restaurant desk. The old town of Heidelberg is small, and with the hotel being right on the Main Square it was a very convenient location. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Without doubt we would recommend Goldener Falke Hotel to other travelers visiting Heidelberg.
