“Nice hotel, good restaurant and service”

Hotel, being on the bank of the river, has a nice view. However, it is far from town and finding a parking space in town is difficult. The service in the hotel's restaurant is excellent and food is good too. The outside terrace has a good view of the river.

“The best”

This hotel is wonderful. We had pillow top mattresses, big down comforters and big fluffy pillows. The breakfasts were magnificent and the view great. The staff could not do enough to make us comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to everyong.

“Good place for a few nights in Heidelberg”

Great service by the conceriege/bellmen. Room service breakfast (I think it was the "All American") was excellent - plenty of delicious food and arrived quickly. Room had a small balcony with a nice view. The wait to check out was a little long, but all of the staff were friendly and efficient.

“Room with a view”

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Heidelberg. The front desk staff was helpful and informative. Our room was spacious and had a wonderful view of the river. We were traveling with a baby and there was plenty of room for the cot in the room. The bed was also a true king sized bed, not two singles pushed together. The breakfast was plentiful and had more variety than most European breakfast buffets! The hotel is about a 10-15 min. pleasant walk along the river to the old town. I would definitely recommend staying here if you visit Heidelberg.

“Great hotel in Heidelburg”

We loved the location of this hotel. Sits on the river with a beautiful dining patio. Walking bridge close by to a beautiful walking path to the old town and castle. Ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the food. Staff was very helpful

“Easy place for an English speaker to stay.”

All the staff spoke excellent English. The bed was extremely comfortable, if i could have fit it in my suitcase I would have stolen it. Good location, very near the train station. Pretty close to the main attractions in town for walking but if you are lazy you could pay for the tram to get around. One complaint, room was non-smoking and there was no ash-tray in the room but there was no non-smoking sign on the room and there was the strong smell of smoke the whole time.

“Beds need to be updated”

This is a lovely hotel, with great staff, in a charming city. I can't emphasize how nice, and helpful, and courteous the staff are. But our room, while quite nice, had a bed that was just worn out. You know the kind of wear that leaves a mountain peak down the center of the bed, and saggy edges decending to the outer periphery. For the price, and the brand, it's inexcuseable. We had a quite uncomfortable night, and my wife actually ended up on the floor at one point. I travel a lot, and see beds in various states of decay, but this was the worst I've ever seen. Room 326 - avoid it!
