Good for a business visit to Mainz

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Cons: The city is worth a look, too - don't miss the Chagall windows in St Stefan's Church, only about 10 minutes walk away.

The hotel is easy to reach from the station and although it is not in the most scenic part of the city, the centre is only a few minutes walk away. The room was clean and quite pleasant and the air-conditioning was effective - and very welcome in the heat! Although it is beside a main road, there is little traffic noise. Breakfast offered a good selection of the usual fruits, pastries, meats and cheese. All in all, a perfectly pleasant stay. close to train station, easy access to FRA

Posted Jun 17, 2014
The hotel was easy walking distance to the city center but they also give you a bus pass if you won't want to walk. The biggest advantage is that the hotel is across from the train station but is very quiet.

Quality hotel a Frankfurt Airport altrnative

Posted May 15, 2014
Pros: Was recommended to us as high quality property made convient to Frankfurt Airport by frequent rail service. Beautify place, bigger than expected room.
Cons: Easier-to-find directional signage at Mainz bahnhof.
Location: We spent several hours walking from hotel through historical areas as well as shopping streets, then found plenty of restaurants and cafes/bistros.
Quality hotel a few minutes' walk from Mainz Bahnhof, making it a great alternative for overnighting before a Frankfurt Airport departure -- less than 30 minutes by train. Friendly English-speaking staff, modern, and often important, room-controled air conditioning. Consider this a great find, can think of no negatives. Easy walk to Mainz Alt Stadt and shopping/restaurant districts. Apparently standard that all guests receive pass for free use of regional transit system, even including some trains. Pricing reasonable, especially for quality. Recommend it highly.

Advantage is that it is close to Train Station

Posted Dec 4, 2013
Pros: Proximity to the station and center of the town
Cons: Room comfort, especially the bathroom condition. The room itself is so depressing and should be given some kind of spark.

Good hotel, central location

Posted Nov 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Its a good quality modern German "business hotel". You get professional service and a reasonable quality room and facilities in a central location, with good train and parking access. Downsides, with this type of hotel are the rooms are pretty small and for some reason, German business hotels insist on providing only 1 pillow and as small a douvet as possible... I will go back again, for its type it is much better than similar ACHATs.

A chain hotel with an emphasis on safety

Posted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Convenient for the station, good standard of accommodation. Exactly what you expect from this kind of chain hotel.
Location: Near the railway station, but not so much to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel - it's quite a walk to the old city. But there are buses.
This hotel lived up exactly to my expectations - clean, well-designed room, comfortable but slightly soulless. The location is okay - very close to the railway station and basically on a roundabout with busy roads outside but the double glazing works fine to keep out the noise. A bit of a hike from the old town but there's buses nearby. The health and safety video on the TV is hilarious, with gems such as demonstrating how to stand at the window and wave for attention if you get trapped in your room, and reassurances about how highly trained the staff are in emergency situations. Maybe they're expecting a zombie attack.

Nice but pricy internet.

Posted Oct 3, 2013
The hotel is nice, clean and very close to the train station and old town. It does bother me to have to pay $15 a day for internet. I would stay here again and would recommend to friends.
