Nice and clean hotel with all amenitiesPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: see above
Cons: Wifi should be free nowadays or at least not so expensive.
Location: Location is fine, near a shopping mall, but the hotel is still very quiet.Highway access is also nearby. The city center is 10 min. away by car.
The hotel itself is very pleasant and the room has all amenities like a safe, minibar, large tv screen etc. Unfortunately breakfast is not included and wifi is not free. Also the hotel charges 7 Euro a day for parking outside what used to be free.

The hotel was used mainly for sleeping and shower. If that is one's mind-set in checking in at this hotel, then you will be happy. You got to have a car to get there and a good GPS, otherwise, you will get lost and not be able to find it. For our purposes, the hotel was ok.

Not really close to anything. Don't use it as an airport hotel.

Cigarette Smoke SmellPosted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: Courteous staff, they speak English.
Cons: Cigarette smoking should be controlled; I found too many people smoking cigarettes at location that sent cigarette smoke inside the hotel;
Location: Nearby shopping center; and areas for recreational walks
I have always had pleasant stays at this hotel in the past. This time around, I became literarily sick from cigarette smoke. I had requested a non-smoking room but found myself smelling and taking in cigarette smoke all day and all night. I requested a room change and was placed on a different level, which initially appeared and smelled smoke-free but only remained this way not too long. A new group of tourists residents from Asia was brought to this floor and they were smokers, which brought the smoke back to my room. It appeared the hotel did not do a good job enforcing their non-smoking policy and mixed smoking and non-smoking residents on the same wings of the hotel. Still I am willing to give them a second chance since my previous two visits were great.

Dear Guest, we know the problems with the smoking rooms. We have already reduced our smoking rooms. Especially with foreign guests, it is often the case that they smoked in the non smoking rooms. Here, we are strongly behind, but notice it often too late. I look forward to welcome you soon again Best wishes Daniela Christ Rooms Division Manager

Good Hotel but too far from the City!Posted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good comfortable rooms & great staff! were the only two good things. With no Free wifi & situated 26 kms from the airport it can be a disappointment for a few.

Useful HotelPosted Jun 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here because it was near our friends. It is not convenient for Mainz centre, but there is a bus every half hour or so, the bus-stop is about 5 - 10 minutes walk away. It is opposite a Macdonalds and a minute walk from a large supermarket and electrical superstore. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.

Great LocationPosted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was in a great central location between Frankfurt and Ramstein and the staff was very nice. The many dining options within walking distance was a plus including a grocery store and fast food options. Would definitely stay here again.

I VALUE MY LIFE- THE CLERK DIDNTPosted May 13, 2013
Cons: LEARN MEDICAL PROCEDURES FOR DIABETICS
THEY HAD VERY LITTLE CONCERN FOR MY MEDICAL PROBLEM HAVING DIABETES WHEN MY SUGAR LEVEL DROPPED. IT WAS AFTER HOURS AND I PLEADED IF THERE WASSOMETHING I COULD EAT- EVEN CRACKERS- THEY REFUSED. WHEN I ASKED IT THERE WAS A RESTUARANT OR STORE- THE CLERK STATED NO AND THAT WAS END OF SUBJECT. I ALREADY HAD TAKEN MY INSULIN AND COULD NOT OVER DOSE IT, IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF EATING SUGAR OR FOOD. LUCKILY NOTHING HAPPENED BUT I HAD TO WAIT 5 HOURS BEFORE I HAD ACCESS TO EAT AND THAT WAS SCARY. I VALUE MY LIFE AND IT WAS ASHAME THEY DIDNT.

Dear Guest, im very sorry for your problems during your stay. But we are not offering a 24h restaurant. This information was latest given to you at your check inn. We offered you some alternatives, but you declined all of this. In the minibar at the rooms, you will find some snacks and some drinks, which will raise your sugar level faster than some restaurant food? We also do not know that you are diabetic combined with some allergies. If you need special food you should inform the hotel for the next time, so the hotel can arrange somethng for the next time. Please appologize for your inconvience during your stay. Best Regards. The Team from the Park Inn by Radisson Mainz
