Excellent hotel in very good position

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Great view over the sea and the coast up to the old town. Very convenient for walking to both new and old towns
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: See above. Walk round both old and new towns. Take the local buses to other parts of the island.
All the facilities you could want with very helpful staff

Very pleasant hotel by the sea.

The staff were kindness itself, bed was large and comfortable. Room size was good. The breakfast was fine and the bar prices reasonable. We stayed off season, so cannot comment on what it would be like when full. It is an old fashioned hotel, but this suited us (no disco or any such thing).

An excellent hotel; well positioned for everything

Posted Jan 4, 2014
Pros: The friendly efficient staff.
Cons: All meals to be served in the Dining Room.
Location: Perfect for the beach and the Old Town.
The hotel, apart from a small hiccough over meal seating, was faultless. Our stay was over Christmas and the New Year which meant for most of the time many of the shops and eating places were closed. Nevertheless, the ideal position for walks along the beach and into the Old Town, plus the choice of restaurant meals or very reasonably priced bar snacks over came that snag. A truely great stay.

Taking good care of us

Posted Oct 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were just here one night, waiting to join a cruise. The morning desk assistant was very helpful in finding details about our ship, which the tour company had not provided. He called the harbour and stuck with us until all was sorted out. Clearly he took a personal interest in our safety and happiness.

Great Location, Excellent Hotel

Posted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: Great sea view room and location. Right in the heart of Rhodes town. The best area of the beach is right in front of this hotel.
Cons: The beds could be a little more comfortable. They were a touch too firm.
Location: Its only a few steps from the beach and a few minutes walk from all the bar and restaurants. Old town and the harbour were about a 10 minutes walk.
Have to say that we had a great experience at this hotel. The staff were friendly and even let us use all the facilities after we checked out. The pool area was excellent and the bar the restaurant were very good. The best thing about it was the location with a perfect sea view room. Its only a few steps from the beach and a few minutes walk from all the bar and restaurants. Old town and the harbour were about a 10 minutes walk away. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend it.

Hotel position was superb

Pros: Everything
Cons: SHOWERS
Location: Close to everything
Position was fantastic, close to the old city and everything else. Satisfied with everything except the shower, otherwise an excellent hotel which we would recommend to everyone.

Location, total professionalism and a warm welcome

Posted Aug 31, 2013
Pros: The fact that staff took a genuine interest in its guests, and the quality of the finishes not only of the public rooms but of the guests^` own rooms.
Cons: Installation of a self-service guest laundry.
Location: Mandraki Harbour (for launch cruises to nearby beaches), the Old Town, Symi (unspoiled island), and the Acropolis of Lindos.
We recently spent a week at this property and were both surprised and impressed by the genuine warmth of our welcome - EVERY day - and the degree of comfort and elegance provided. The food was superb in its quantity, variety and quality.

Close to Rodos beach & shops

Posted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Fix the above problems
Location: Old Town Lindos Beach activities
Hotel is in excellent location in the heart of Rodos beach & casino, but the positive aspects end here. * Hotel staff are not friendly or helpful * Expedia states hotel has gym facilities however upon enquiring at hotel I was advised that there was no gym on premises & this goes for games room as well. * Aircon in the room is very noisy & struggles to keep the room at a reasonable temperature during summer. * Lift is very small & slow so you have to use stairs most of the time. * Television viewing for English speaking guests is non existent as all channels are either in Greek or German & French. * Not suitable for families as television has pornographic content. All in all it is an ordinary hotel which is a shame as it is excellently located.

Great Location: Sea View is a Must

Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Sea views
Cons: Free-for-all breakfast buffet
Location: Water side, on the beach - watch out for the many beach pedlars
It is the location that makes this a good place to stay ..... the views across the bay, watching the activity in the harbour entrance and morning sun rise made it a special place. The hotel is only a 10-15 min harbour side walk to the new town, add another 10 mins to the "Old Town." The front of house staff were always exceptionally helpful and cheerful. We found our room to be clean and comfortable and the bathroom adequately appointed without being "luxurious." Two things to point out - one: there is a dress code for dinner - we had been sailing for the prior week and had not realised the need for better clothing. Two: get to breakfast early!! oh yes, there is a $4 charge per sun bed even for hotel guests as the beach is not controlled by the hotel.
