“Chesire; clean and comfortable”

The room was clean and wonderful. The windows could probably use some updating for heating and cooling concerns. The breakfast was perfect. The hotel is a lot of fun!

“Amazing”

This hotel was amazing. They where friendly and helpful. As an out of towner, I asked for dinner suggestions. They were right on everytime. The hotel is 5 minutes from everything. Simply amazing.

“Wonderful & Unique”

We were very impressed with the hotel. Obviously having just been remodeled, it was brand new and tastefully decorated in keeping with the literary theme. Fox and Hounds was like stepping into an English Pub! And the food was superb. What impressed us the most, however, was the kindness of the staff. From the front desk to housekeeping, each person was very friendly and accommodating. We are definitely planning on staying again at The Chesire.

“Big Hotels Wish They Were As Good As The Cheshire”

The most pet-friendly hotel in the US, if not anywhere. If traveling with pets, going a little out of your way to stay here is worth it. Courteous and experienced staff goes the extra mile for their human guests, too. Matt V. and Kelly were awesome. GM even helped with bags when valet was unavailable. Nice. Excellent well-equipped gym. Complimentary breakfast is generous and satisfying. Mod redo of Tudor themed hotel works. Updated, but charm and quirkiness left intact which is a good thing. Lobby area with fireplace is fun to hang out but could use dimmer in evenings for more relaxed ambiance. Pub is cozy- just be sure to get a seat early because it fills up- business travelers during the week and locals and guests on the weekend. Pool looks great but was closed for Winter. Bedding is new and super comfortable. Complimentary bath products are high quality and worth taking when you leave, you cheapskates. Bathrooms are small, but new and spotless. Only bummer was the motion activated bathroom light which only turns off after 20 minutes which was annoying at night. "Do Not Disturb" and "Please Service Room" card are the same color and in the same font which led to confusion for housekeeping. Parking convenient. Valet available. Superb amenities within walking distance- Forest Park, neighborhood restaurants, bars. Humble looking but excellent Chinese Express right next door. Overall, amazing value for the money and simply a great full service hotel that is getting better.

“Wonderful experience at the Cheshire for New Years”

Stayed over New Year's weekend with my family of 4 that included 2 children. Excellent hotel and staff. Rooms are very quiet and the beds were wonderful. I especially liked the warm, welcome feeling of the lobby. The room was very tastefully decorated and I think the theme for the hotel is exceptional. The hotel itself is located in a great centrally located area to many attractions with easy access to I-64.

“Excellent service with attention to detail!”

I had an excellent experience! I showed up in my Army uniform (after driving in right after work) and they had a bottle of champagne to my room with a note saying "thank you for your service" within minutes of my arrival. I asked where I could buy some pepto-bismol in the area because my girlfriend had a stomach ache and they provided it for me, for free, on the spot. Then the next day they followed up with me and asked how she was feeling. Their breakfast is excellent (for a cold breakfast) and essentially always available (I checked out at 3am and they had items available).

“Great Location Attentative Staff”

Hotel I believe was just renovated. Looks of nice English character. Staff was friendly and very helpful with directions for any place i needed to go. Would reccomend to anyone.

“Unique, high-class, clean”

This hotel is appropriately a AAA 4 diamond hotel. The decor and atmosphere is very unique and well exectued, it was fun to stay here. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was great, more than your typical "continental" breakfast. The hotel is newly remodeled and the adjacent building is still under construction. I would definitely recommend.

“An Olde English Inn 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis”

Got a great deal on Expedia one night and had to try the Cheshire. It just reopened in August and had no reviews yet but it sounded unique. Olde English Inn look with dark wood and vintage looking furniture. Even had a big stuffed grizzly bear to greet you. Room was completely redone with a comfy king size bed, flat screen tv and beautiful new bathroom. The reno was done with great care to provide modern amenities but not spoil the mood of this 1920's inn. Free wireless in the rooms worked perfectly. The continental breakfast included free fruits, juices and even had chocolate milk. Very good coffee too. Room was a little small but lots of extra space outside in the common area and outside on the patio. To get downtown you turned right out of the driveway and onto the expressway and downtown. Area attractions included the St. Louis Zoo, and the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Overall had a great stay and will be back if we return to see more baseball in St. Louis.

“Hidden gem in the city”

This is our second stay at this hotel, and we love it. Its a bit quirky, but like a hidden gem in the city. The staff goes out of their way to please everyone, whether its lending you a bicycle or giving directions. There are interesting things to look at all around the hotel, pottery, art , even a full-sized stuffed bear;.and wonderful fireplaces with fires crackling. Nice outdoor seating areas. The pool area can be a bit noisy at night. It is walking distance to Wash. Univ., which is why we stay there. You can also walk to the large park, a few blocks away, or use one of the hotel's bicycles. Couldn't be better!
