Great hotel & close to Wash U!

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Ambiance & food. The parking was super convenient.
Cons: A reading light closer to the reading chaise lounge.
Location: The St. Louis Zoo, Forest Park, and Delmar Loop.
Our daughter was attending SOAR at Wash U and we wanted to explore the area. The Cheshire is in a great location. We explored the University, Delmar Loop, and Forest Park. We loved the ambiance of the hotel. The English breakfast was perfect for us. We enjoyed having a lounge and restaurant right there. Overall great experience!😀

Location, Location Location!

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Location, location location.
Cons: Housecleaning was slow to come to clean the room. If you didn't get out of your room early, forget it.
Location: GREAT location. Right across from Forest Park. LOTS to do there.
Overall, a nice, unique place to stay in St. Louis.

2 day STL get away with my husband...

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Rustic appearance and wall artwork, different room themes. Out of downtown, quieter.
Cons: Security and better lighting in the 2nd parking garage with an elevator into the hotel.
Location: The Zoo, Clayton Rd.
First just to mention we had a discounted rate thru Expedia, still only paying a small amount less than the original rate, to us, that does not mean we expect anything less from the Hotel that we are in.... Its labeled as a 4 star, We were on the 3rd floor, the room was nice and quiet except for about 4am we were awakened by something that sounded like somebody crawling across our floor, it ended up being a staff member attempting to slide our receipt under a door that did not have enough room to do that. It lasted long enough that we were wide awake at 4 am ugh. I let the front desk know and their response was "oh okay" Breakfast appeared ok. We went to IHop instead. It has a great private out door pool, and work out room pretty much had anything you may need. It is Rustic and the little details make it different than other Hotels, we loved that part but won't stay there again.

Disappointed

Posted Jun 27, 2015
They did not notified that the room was not available prior my arrival. I reserved a Pool Epic Room. They just gave me a room in 4th floor without explanation. No apologies 👎🏻

Overpriced; Rude Front office!

Posted Jun 27, 2015
The hotel facilities are not bad, but not enough for the room charges. The receptionists (both) are the rudest ever, even though the rest of the stuff is kind. The check out for some reason is 11.00 am, and check in 15.00 pm!!! The air conditioning was not working and had to look into that with the staff (very loud). The only thing that was very good was the breakfast, for which i give a 2 points. We asked for special care because had an anniversary with my boyfriend, if we were not that in love, would ask for our money back. Not worth is for the money you pay.

We loved our stay at The Chesire Inn.

Posted Jun 18, 2015
The Inn was centrally located near tons of activities for the kids. The pool was a great added bonus and they even had a little treasure hunt for the kids to do around the hotel. We loved the British inspired theme and would stay there again. The only downfall is that we were located at the very entrance of the first hallway and could hear everything. Next time I would ask for a room a little further away from the entrances to the lobby and pool.

Best boutique hotel I've ever visited.

Posted May 31, 2015
It was as though we were staying at a quaint Euro museum / mansion. Such great level of detail in everything from the decor, the food, the music, the hospitality & high-end amenities. Very helpful & friendly staff (thanks 'Dave' & friends at the front desk). Overall very clean, great location by the zoo & superb on-site dining options. The fitness center was fantastic. The pool/cabana area - equally awesome. I've been traveling for business for over 15+ years & this was truly one of my favorite hotel experiences ever (this time it was a family vacation with 2 young kids). Well done - we'll be back!
