“Don't Have High Expectations...”

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend getaway from NYC.. The room was ok, we were happy that we had a refrigerator and microwave, as most hotels don't provide this amenitie. The bathroom was horrible.. We ended up purchasing a bath mat as the tub had mildue stains which would not come out.. We also purchased our own towels at the local walmart, as white towels show how dirty the towels can be.. We also purchased some lysol to spray down the beds and the bathroom just to be on the safe side. There wasn't a welcoming feeling when we entered the hotel either.. If your not big on comfort, and cleanliness, then this is the place for you.. If not, we suggest paying a little more for what you deserve..

“Quick stay in Richmond”

We went for a night to get away from school and it was perfect for that. Easy check-in and clean room.

“Not that impressed”

This hotel needed some updating. The maintenance dept needed to do some work on our room. The bath door didn't close and creaked badly, the hall door also creaked very badly and was a tight close (not quite aligned). The room seemed overall clean, just very dated. The breakfast was much better than a "continental" as advertised, but nothing to write home about. The staff seemed pleasant and willing to help as needed.

“Absolutely do not go”

I requested a hotel with a pool near downtown Richmond. I failed to specifiy that I meant a pool that was OPEN. Our first impression was a person in the lobby sleeping under a blanket on one of the sofas. Breakfast was to be ready at 7 a.m. At 7:15 a.m. the obviously hung over helper was still preparing to set up. He put out milk that was spoiled. There was no fruit or a single healthy option. Hotel was dirty and in desperate need of rennovation.

“Baymont Richmond”

Courteous front desk staff. Room was very clean. Rooms are small, but quite comfy. The price seemed high, but it was during a race weekend so not too undexpected.

“Room, Fantastic!”

My room was one of the newly renovated rooms. It was great! Clean, comfy and the new tub was excellent! Only one critique for this hotel... the staff didn't seem to listen very well. They don't have a door hang that lets the staff know that you don't want your towels changed. Usually if you hang your towels up, that is the signal that you don't want them taken (if they are on the floor then you want them exchanged for clean ones). I stayed at this hotel for three nights and I felt it was silly to have them cleaned. So I made my own little not that said I wanted to re-use my towels. It took them until the third night to honor my request. The night time desk help was a little less than helpful when I notified them that our floor smelled horribly of Marijuana smoke. There were a bunch of kids staying in the hotel on my floor. They had their doors open and you could see and smell the smoke wafting out of their doors. The group I was with complained 3 times to the front desk, with no reaction.

“Area's Best Hotel”

This was indeed a comfortable place to rest during my business trip and at a very affordable price. Overall quality was exceptional and the location could not have been better. I will definietly stay there again.

“Descent room. Not so great hotel staff.”

Descent room. So-so hotel staff and personnel. Not very friendly, specially since we all got snowed in and had limited access to food. Not sure I would stay here again based on that fact that hotel staff did nothing to suggest where we could eat something to eat from.

“Good Value”

Baymont Inn is a decent hotel; not terrible, not great. It's close to my mother-in-law's so we stayed there for three nights over Thanksgiving weekend. We were only really there during nights and it met out needs. The service was a bit mixed. When we reserved the room we requested a crib for our ten month old daughter. When we checked in the crib wasn't in the room but the guy at the desk quickly provided....a playpen. When I asked the next morning about getting a real crib I was told that's what they had and that's what the chain likes to give out. So she slept in our bed instead. On the plus side, when our daughter puked on the comforter, the hotel replaced it quickly and assuredly. The free breaskfast bar is actually decently stocked, and is a good option if you're in a hurry.
