Pros: Room, bathroom, etc were clean.
Cons: Landscaping, breakfast
Location: cheap gas
breakfast was disappointing. Bare minimum to say they provide it. I killed several small ants on the counter before my husband and mother came to eat. No eggs, bacon, fruit. couple cereals and small honey buns, English muffins. Ice machine was broken - they gave me a small bag of ice from a freezer in room behind office. Staff was as helpful as could be.

not bad for the price

Not a bad hotel if you can get it on the low end of the price spectrum. We chose it because its just a few minutes from Kings Dominion and half the price of the Best Western thats basically onsite. Dont expect much of anything for the breakfast. They are strict about the checkout time. Not much to do around, and the closest grocery is about a ten minute drive.

Econo Lodge = Keep Going, don't stop

room was smelly, not very clean, beds looked old and saggy. Furniture was not inviting to sit on, lots of noise from parking lot. Not a great deal. Pass it up

Adaquately frugal

I was shocked when turning back the bed spread to expose a pillow to find a spider happily waiting for some action. It was a no frills experience consistent with the room rate. There was a neighborhood nearby?

I called ahead of time to see when check in time would be because I was coming from out of town I was told anytime but then when I arrived all the rooms was booked and the front desk lady was very rude I had to wait 5 hours before the room was ready and I had to pay an extra 10 just to check in before 2pm which is their check in time. I will never stay there again and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Ok for a travel motel

Posted Jul 20, 2013
Pros: Price
Cons: The woman at the reception throws things at you. (credit cards, etc) Have you heard of HANDING things, lady?.
Location: 5 miles away from Kings Dominion. I beat the traffic both ways.
Cleaner than the average, especially the last Econo Lodge I stayed in, at Lancaster, PA.

Hotel needs work !

Posted Jul 15, 2013
Pros: Relatively clean and quiet.
Cons: Maintenance!!!!!!!
Location: Close to 95 so everything is within short drive and of course Kings Dominion
Hotel was overall clean but: shower fixture wasn't working properly, bathroom door wouldn't latch closed, safety bar lock on entrance door interior was broken, bathroom door hit toilet front as door was being closed, sink was sagging and caulked with over 1 inch of caulk to fill the gap, tile job on bathroom floor and vinyl base in bath very poorly done, unsanded-unpainted spacle marks throughout the room, toilet paper holder was sunken in wall. I do property maintenance for a living and own several low rent apartments and in those towns these conditions are unacceptable. Maintenance professionals are not being used and it really shows. Also as you enter the office area the smell of eastern cooing spices is pungent (probably curry). This is not nittpicking I have over twenty years of experience in housing from top rated bed&breakfasts to low rent apartments and the operators of this hotel are decreasing the value of this property and hurting their business in the future.

Do not expect a good breakfast.

Posted Dec 29, 2012
Pros: Convenience
Cons: Extra charge for an additional child (considered as adult) while other similar service
Location: COnvenient near Denny's (only food service)
I would recomment ravelodge, but not this Econo lodge. If you do a little bit more search you will find a similar motel by saving at least 10 bucks for an additional child. THe breakfast is worst with minimum of milk and food.
