“Great value for money, nice place to stay”

Convenient location, nice clean room, comfy beds. Staff very nice, offered us hot cookies upon arrival. Hotel locks front after 10 p.m., great for safety. Nice breakfast. Would definitely recommend and/or stay there again.

Area recommendations

Lots to see: Glen Miller Park; Starr-Gennett Historic site ("birthplace of recorded jazz"); downtown historic depot area (1909 Daniel Burnham depot, other historic buildings); downtown Main Street area (lots of murals); tons of lovely 19th- and early 20th-century homes. Visitors Center on National Road East is full of helpful people and info. A really interesting American town.

Our room was very nice and comfortable for three adults, one toddler and a baby. The breakfast was just okay.

“Finder keeper loser weeper”

Beds and pillows where uncomfortable. Room was very small and without a sofa/coffee table. A very unfortunate thing happened as I rushed to checked out from the hotel. I left my fairly new Timberland boots and shoe tree ($130. value) in the room we occupied. I had my friend from Richmond call the hotel and I also called and left a message for the general manager regarding my forgotten boots/shoe tree, but did not received any return call from anyone in charge. They also did not show any signs of concern or any attempt to follow up with house keeping in locating my forgotten items. So I guess it is finder keeper and loser weeper at this hotel. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
