Nice, clean, comfortable hotel

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Bed was comfortable, room was nice, the only thing is that housekeeping did not come to my room at all. I had to call the desk and ask for more coffee and creamer to be brought up because no one had come to restock the supplies. They were very nice and prompt though.

Nice hotel...easy to get to

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: That they had a full service restaurant on premises
Cons: We didn't find anything that needed improvement
Location: We were only there overnight and did not get out in the area
Hotel very clean and quiet. Very comfortable room. Had dinner in the restaurant and the wait staff was excellent and the food was very good.

Great hotel. Close to airport & food.

Maria (front desk clerk) was welcoming and personable. She made it easy for us to check-in. The room was very clean, modern. Huge comfy bed. Bathroom was very clean. No funny smells. No unpleasant surprises. It was just as I saw it online. Not too far from airport and major freeway. There's a store called Wawa just up the street (walking distance), and they have AWESOME food there. I fell in love with their chicken philly. They also have fresh pastries like donuts and muffins. Not the stale ones you find in other corner stores. I'll definitely stay here again. I didn't want to leave, but this thing called life tapped me on the shoulder & said I have to get back to work. :/

Pros: It was perfect!
The hotel d├ęcor was beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was modern, clean and comfortable. Oh, yes ... and the free breakfast was great too! If you're staying in the Richmond, Virginia area, this is the place to stay! P.S.: There was also a mall (and other stores) in the area about five minutes away. :-)

Nice staff, for the most part EIWO

Posted Jan 24, 2014
Pros: Entire staff at Front Desk and restaurant were really great.
Cons: Water pressure
Stayed for 5 nights January 18 to 23, a much longer stay than usual. Loved the fact that it was low occupancy because I received a good room rate with breakfast and great attention from Front Desk Staff. The one from Schenectady, NY who is studying Anthropology was really pleasant and efficient. Needed to fax a few documents on more than one occasion and the staff was really good about it. The weather then turned cold and snowy so I needed to eat in the restaurant more than I would normally. The free buffet breakfast was good and staff were very good. The dinner staff and kitchen were also very good. Enjoyed the chicken fetucini one night and the NY strip steak was also surprisingly good the next night and they made me some fried mushrooms not on the menu. Constructive observation would be that the water pressure was very weak in sink and shower. Stayed on 5th floor. Room carpet needed better vacuuming. They may want to consider offering stronger coffee for coffee diehards by simply getting an expresso machine.

3 night stay in Richmond

Posted Jan 13, 2014
Cons: If I had to complain, the only thing that caught my attention was the the dirty towels near the pool stayed dirty all weekend.
Location: Turn right out of the lot and you'll find lots of food and groceries inabout a mile. Do look up the Country donut shop.
Quiet and pleasant weekend stay in this hotel. Room service meal was great. This area has a Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn adjacent. There is no free breakfast here but we had a micro and frig. Room was clean. Very nice hotel. Would stay next time for sure.

Very nice hotel close to the airport.

Posted Jan 10, 2014
Pros: I mistakenly thought the breakfast was included but it was not and was rather pricey.
Location: Very close to the airport. We drove about 2 miles down the road to a very nice, appeared to be brand new shopping center for dinner at TGIFridays.
We needed a room for an early flight out of Richmond and chose this hotel since we had stayed in a Hilton before. There were 3 hotels in a row so close to the airport, we could have probably walked, if necessary and we selected the best! The room was spotless and the lobby provided a nice, cozy sitting area with a coffee and tea display, numerous varieties of flavors and creamers. The room also had a Keurig which was a big hit for my son. Since we were there for such a brief visit, we only saw one of the hotel's staff but she was extremely courteous and friendly. Of the three hotels, I'm glad we chose the Hilton Garden Inn through Expedia.
