We were unable to park under the hotel. We did not know there was another parking area available, so we had to use the parking lot across the street. However, the management took care of our parking lot without even asking! That made an enormous difference in the stay. How thoughtful. The room was fine. The bathroom door did not stay open, which would have been nice. It would have helped to have had a bit more light in the bathroom, as well. The gentleman who greeted us when we arrived were friendly and very helpful with answering any questions and offering suggestions. It was such a nice welcome. Overall our stay went well. We were not there long, but we enjoyed our stay and would schedule a stay at this location again in the future.

The hotel was clean, orderly, and neat. I have stayed here before and appreciate the location. The staff is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I will book again when i come back to the city.

Front desk staff was not welcoming or very friendly. He rather had stayed seated and watched football than check me in. This check in was on 12/16 around 7:00 pm

Facility was very good. Rooms very clean. Staff courteous and responsive. Daily room service is NOT automatic so make sure you request it. There are two restaurants less than 2 minute walk while all of the other restaurants are 7-15 minute walk away. Downtown Richmond parking is not always available for driving to these other restaurants.

Again, I experienced another awesome stay at Holiday Inn Express (Carey St.) in Richmond, VA. The Front Desk personnel, Jason was welcoming and very helpful during and after Wednesday's check-in. 👍

The location is excellent for access to downtown, Brown's Island, etc. Rooms are clean and well kept. The price is reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel staff was very friendly but not particularly helpful. There was a problem with the shades in the room all being stuck in the fully down position. When I pointed this out to the hotel housekeeping staff, I was told that there was nothing that could be done & just push the shade to the side. This resulted in the room having a cave-like darkness. Not acceptable. There was also only one working elevator which was shared by the guests and hotel housekeeping staff which resulted in long waits at the elevator. When I pointed this out to the staff, I was told that the second elevator had been broken for over a week.
