“Thanksgiving company”
Went to visit family out of town and made reservations here for our sons and their girlfriends. What a beautiful place! Room was exactly as it appeared online, huge and comfortable, VERY CLEAN which was important to the girls. They had a great exerience, said the staff was very nice.
“Lynn from Lansing”
The Good: The bed was great; the staff was very responsive; the lobby was very nice; the TV was great; the price was right. The Bad: The elevators were worn; the pool was passable, although there were no towels available; the breakfast was marginal, even with the Starbucks coffee, but the staff was quick to clean up debris; the food options after breakfast were minimal; it was very hard to find. The Ugly: The bathtub had a huge chip in the tub (about the size of a golfball) that had rusted; one of the mirrored closet doors had a big crack running about 1/3 the way up the door; the in-room fridge was so loud we had to unplug it to sleep.
“"Good value"”
Overall I would recommend this hotel - I've stayed twice in the last year. The rooms are really two rooms, a bedroom and a living room. The beds are very comfortable. The living room has a couch, a desk and small kitchen area. The couch is L shaped and huge. The kitchen area has a fridge and sink but no microwave. The large flat screen TV is located between the two rooms and rotates (so you can see it from the bed or the couch). The bathroom is off the bedroom and is small (toilet and shower) and the sink is in the bedroom. Overall I like the layout of the room, and the large size. The hotel was renovated in recent years and the lobby is nice. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly enough. The pool is large and convenient. The area surrounding the hotel is decent - not great or terrible. One nice thing is that they do have luggage carriers so rather than making 5 trips back and forth to the car (if you have a large family), you can pile it on and make 1 trip. My only complaint is that the floors in the rooms need to be cleaned better, especially around the edges with a dustbuster or something. It looked like a lot of dirt had been pushed to the side with either a broom or vacuum that was too large to get to the edge. The rooms were clean otherwise. For the area you can't get a better value. I'm a critical person and would definitely stay here again.
“Nice Hotel”
We needed to stay in a hotel because our house was unlivable due to a 65 foot oak tree crashing through the roof. We are local to the Hyatt Place Richmond/Arboretum, so finding it was easy, and we knew the neighborhood was good and that it was accessible to all of the places we normally go. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, because we began a short vacation the next day and traveled all over Virginia, and none of the places we stayed were as nice. The pool was specially nice, we just couldn't help dipping one more time before we checked out. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
“BIG room!”
The space in the room was fabulous.
“Great Stay for an On the Fly Trip”
I planned a spur of the moment trip to Richmond with my husband and two kids to visit family and picked Hyatt Place out of a hat. Price was fair and the pictures were pretty. Upon arrival, I was greeted with warm smiles and welcoming attitudes that assured me that I'd made the right decision. The rooms were spacious and super comfortable, even for a family with two kids under 4. The pool area was clean, well stocked and never too crowded. Guests took on the attitude of the hotel staff and were very kind, always sharing a smile and a "how are you today?" Overall, I'd love to stay at this hotel again and I'd definitely recommend it to my friends and family. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning soon!
“I would love to go back.”
I had a positive and enjoyable experience. I have shared my experience with family and friends to recommend this hotel.
“Excellent value”
My experience at the Hyatt Arboretum exceeded my expectations. The staff was very professional and pleasant. The room was large, clean, and well-furnished. We discovered that the fridge did not seem to be working and a well-mannered young man came and replaced it within minutes. The breakfast area was small but well stocked with fresh items. Parking was easy and close to the hotel entrance. It was also very quiet during our stay, despite the fact that also staying there were several other middle school soccer players who usually can turn up the volume in a hotel! The only thing I would change about the hotel would be to add an indoor pool and perhaps put microwaves in the rooms.
“Consistently A Great Place to Stay”
4 stays and this hotel has consistently great service. The meal / coffee / drink bar in the lobby makes it so convenient to grab something quick. The rooms are clean and have all you could need, and the staff is very friendly and concerned that all is as you'd like. No complaints here.
“Beautiful new hotel”
The decor of the public areas and room were great. I loved the layout of the room: sectional sofa/bed and desk area separated from queen bed and bath area. breakfast facilities excellent and staff very helpful
