“Room Service : /”
The hotel was great but room service is AWFUL! The first morning, I ordered a very simple breakfast (Raisin Bran and Egg Whites) they told me it would be there in 30 minutes...I called the front desk to check on the status of my order but the phone rang for ten minutes straight (I put it on speaker as I went about my business), when they picked up they told me that they were having trouble with their printer and my ticket never came up. Well, the order didn't arrive for another hour and twenty minutes. The next morning, I ordered the same meal; 20 minutes after I placed my order, they called to confirm what exactly I ordered...20 minutes later they called again to see if it was egg whites that I really wanted...at that point I just told them nevermind and to cancel the order. I ended up grabbing something on the way.
“The right hotel in the right place.”
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay next to the fabulous Richmond Convention Center, or any of the city's attractions near there. Also convenient to VCU and the state capitol. Spacious, well-appointed room was very clean, and attractive.
“Make sure you get what you paid for”
The hotel rooms are well appointed and very comfortable and the hotel is very convenient for the Richmond Conference Center and Coliseum. There was a very large conference going on when we were there and the desk staff assumed we were part of that although our reservations were made separately. We had to fight to get the rooms we had booked and paid for which marred our experience.
“Top of Line Hotel”
Extremely satisfied with my stay here. The room service was wonderful, the valet parking attendants were very helpful and courteous. The hotel offered a service to check in bags (after check out from room) so I could attend a seminar at the lower level at no cost to me and not have to put my bags in my car and worry about them. The hotel is BEAUTIFULLY decorated. The beds are so comfortable, I slept through my alarm clock. Updated bathrooms and flat screen TV were bonuses. The hotel was extremely clean throughout. The service in the restaurant was prompt and courteous. Again the staff was amazing! I am very happy with my stay here and completely recommend it to others!
“Hotel under remodeling”
The hotel was undergoing a loud, extensive remodeling, which no one told me prior to check-in. Staff was generally helpful, with a few minor exceptions. The room was clean and comfortable. The wired internet in the room did not work. Wireless is only available in the lobby.
