10 minutes from ddowntown Richmond

It was OK for the price. I was very frustrated when my stay was cut short by unforeseen events. I told the front desk I needed to check out early and they said I would have to call hotel, com. I went to my room and called and was told I would have to talk to the hotel. I explained that the hotel said I need to call Hotel, com, The operator then transferred me to customer service.and they indicated the hotel had to agree to the early checkout. I was put on hold and then told the hotel desk clerk said the manager wasn't there and a message was left for the manager to call the next morning, When I checked with the manager the next morning they said there wasn't note to call hotel.com and if they didn't call within 2 hours I would be charged for another day. I called hotel.com on my cell phone while I was still at the desk and asked the hotel.com person to call the manager, which he did and my reservation was finally cancelled. I'm really having 2nd thoughts about continuing to use hotel.com again.

OK price for OK hotel

Pros: Clean, convenient. I'd recommend it, but without enthusiasm.
Cons: Friendlier, more welcoming. Put a chair in the room.
Location: Richmond airport.
You kind of get the feeling that the hotel expects its guests to be not very nice. There are some rather overtly bossy signs prominently displayed which make you feel kind of unwelcome. The staff were polite but brusque. No complaints about cleanliness. Breakfast isn't bad. Just a feeling of not being all that welcome. Other budget hotels (e.g. Red Roof) manage to make you feel welcome.

Dirty walls and all... still a good place to stay for the money.

Great time in Richmond

My son and I have been staying at this hotel every April and September for the NASCAR Race weekends at Richmond International Raceway since April 2010. The staff have always been exceptional! They are friendly upon arrival all the way through to checkout. Will continue to stay at the Microtel Inn and Suties by Wyndham Richmond Airport for years to come.

Needs some work.

Close to airport, racetrack, and other attractions. Clean room, mini-fridge, tv, and the bed was sort of comfy. Sink had warm and hot water, shower was terrible and barely worked. I would've slept better but the paper thin walls and neighbors who partied loudly until 5 am made it a rough night. I'd pay more to stay somewhere else. And microtel, what's with all of the mirrors?
