Awful!!

Posted Aug 14, 2014
I would absolutely never stay here again. Our recliner was busted, cigarette burns in comforter, stains on walls. We were traveling with our 2 small children and I was disgusted by the accommodations. Breakfast was meager and front desk is enclosed by bullet proof glass. We were using this as a rest night on our long road trip and very little rest did we get!!

Good for the money

Decent rooms for the price. Staff was nice also. I didn't really care for the breakfast thought. All in all it was worth the price.

Pretty standard stay

It was decent, the price was definitely right. The Fox's den pizza (or whatever it was called) that was on the channel list is worth getting. And there was a weird cheese stick left in the fridge. Not godly, but a decent room.

Disgusting

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: I liked when we left.
Cons: Tear up the carpet, throw out the beds and start from scratch.
Location: Right off the highway and near a great Diner.
If it wasn't so late we would have left. The room smelled so bad that I slept in the car. We had our dog with us so we understand that we get a " dog room" but come on. We were exhausted and just wanted to sleep I actually went out to the car. We left at 7 am could not take another minute. We complained and told them no one else should ever be put in that room. Horrible experience. Besides the odor it was DIRTY!

I love this hotel. I've stayed at it numerous time and will contine staying at it when I need to. Only problem I have ever occured was this last time when I left for the day I put "do not disturb" sign on door because I just don't like people going in around my stuff when I'm not there. When I got back, the sign had been taken, everything cleaned, and light left on. I just wasn't pleased that my wishes weren't granted and they took sign so I couldn't put it back out. Other than this instance, I have never had a problem with them! Highly suggest it!

Love it!

I love this hotel! I try to stay there whenever I'll be in town. Also, unlike most hotels--the room is actually modern. Nice big canvases on walls, nice comforters, flat screen tv, and it smells good. Breakfast isn't bad-they have a waffle maker ;) Staff has always been friendly too

Out of heavy traffic area; quiet and comfortable.

Pros: Convenient to the places I wanted to go (Convention Center & Library of VA only)
Cons: I was comfortable and sufficiently pleased to make a reservation to return in two months.
Location: I spent five nights there and was interested only in going to the Convention Center - a 10-15 minute drive.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good breakfast bar; strait shoot down US-301 to a left-turn on Marshall Street to the Convention Center & LVA which was my interest. Motel is near a grocery store, a Chinese carry-out, several other fast food places and a restaurant.

nice hotel for a weekend trip

I would definitely go back. this hotel wasn't too far from town and was decent because we didn't spend a life savings on a hotel. but I wouldn't spend like two weeks there.

good value

convenient to VCU, good value for the price. Comfortable beds. Large flat screen tv, refrig, microwave, coffee maker, safe all nice to have. Refrig freezer portion needed to be defrosted, and there was ice cream left in the freezer from a previous guest. Bathtub lacks grab bars and I didn't see a bath mat - no skid proof tub - sink in bathroom dripped, bathroom door squeaked. Mentioning these details so staff maintenance can hopefully address. Local maps provided in lobby were helpful. Breakfast had good variety including yogurt, fresh fruit, hot chocolate, cereals, bagels, waffles, 2 juices, coffee, tea.
