Needs to work on detailsPosted Jan 6, 2010
The Jefferson is a beautiful hotel. Attention to the needs of their guests would make staying there even better. I wrote a letter to the hotel manager complementing one of his staff (the reservation lady) and at the same time criticizing the concierge staff. I never heard from him. The room was great, the front desk staff was great, the accomodations at the hotel are great, but little things should be addressed. There should be a doorman to help guests get into the hotel. Guests should not have so much trouble obtaining dinner reservations. We ordered 2 glasses of house wine at the bar before we had dinner and we received a bill for $24. Pretty expensive. Dinner was good and the staff was fine.

Outstanding piece of historyPosted Nov 26, 2009
The Jefferson is like stepping back in time. It is probably even more beautiful than it was 100 years ago. Service is as expected for a 5 star hotel. Fantastic food. Overall a great experience. I'd recommend it to anyone.
