Hotel not as nice as it should be...Posted Jul 14, 2015
Arrived at hotel and asked to be put in a room at the end of the bldg. I was put into a room almost directly in the middle of the hotel near the elevator! The pool area was packed w/obnoxious loud disrupted kids and teens! No clean towels anywhere, but laying all over the floors/chairs. The rooms and elevators/hallways were hot and humid! Really uncomfortable! The walls in the room had brown liquid running down the walls near the trash can! The paint and drywall was chipped, and scratched. The staff...less than friendly. Overall disappointing!

Convenient location for places of interestPosted May 16, 2015
Pros: Location was good, and the rooms were pretty clean. The microwave/fridge are a nice plus!
Cons: Perhaps room service is more like self service...we were told to come to the lobby when we called to ask for more coffee supplies.
Location: About 15 minutes to Carytown, one of my favorite places to eat in Richmond. Easy to get into downtown Richmond for historic sites there.
We stayed for two nights here in mid-April. We were able to check in early, which was nice. Breakfast was ok. Location was good to go into Carytown, shop or eat in Shortpump, and we also went to Petersburg for some Civil War attractions, and that was fairly convenient as well.

extremely over-rated hotelPosted Apr 28, 2015 on Hotels
I was extremely upset because the wifi in the room wasn't working when I called the front desk. I was told it wasn't something they could do. it would hopefully be working in the morning. I was on a business trip. for goodness sake. really - they couldn't have told me that when I checked in. if I would have known that afternoon I would have went elsewhere. I won't be staying at a windham ever again

Race WeekendPosted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Had a nice Dinner menu and bar.
Location: Lots of shopping and eateries really close.
Room was clean large enough. No fan in bathroom and a lamp was missing a bulb. TV watching choices could be improved. Breakfast was kind of bland.
