Lovely hotel for a stop over. Good food!Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Restaurant. Food. Free parking.
Cons: Could do with a lick of paint in places and an update to the bathroom.
Location: By car, Kew Gardens was 10 mins away & Wimbledon was 30 mins away.
As this is a pub hotel, it was really convenient for food. The menu is varied and dinner was very good. Breakfast is included and is also very nice. The bathroom in the room could do with an update, that would be my only niggle. The room itself was big and comfortable, and has tea/coffee/hot choc facility. The room included an iron/board as well. The restaurant is lovely and atmospheric with it's glass panels. I would definitely go back to this hotel again. It was very convenient for Kew Gardens, and it's just across the road from the Thames which makes a pleasant walk.

Convenient hotel for London and surrounding area.Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: Just about everything, excellent 3 star hotel.
Cons: Bathrooms could be better, they are looking tired and in need of a coat of paint.
Location: Very close to Twickenham town only a few minutes walk away, also near to railway station.
Excellent hotel, very easy to find, and very convenient for Twickenham town centre, just a few minutes walk away. Stayed here when l went to wimbledon, easy drive, also very close to railway station. The gentleman on reception was extremely helpful, also the gentleman who was on duty when we had breakfast was good, overall could not fault the staff at all, would recommend this hotel to anyone, would certainly stay there again.

Nice hotel, very friendly, lovely breakfastPosted Jun 9, 2014
Cons: Clock in room
We just needed a place to stay close to London for 1 night. This hotel gave us everything we needed with friendly staff, comfort and easy access into London.

Worst bed I've ever slept onPosted May 25, 2014
Pros: Restaurant/bar attached with breakfast provided.
Cons: Needs a new mattress. The shower could use some re-caulking and the water marks could be cleaned off the bathroom walls.
Location: Close to Strawberry Hill and Twickenham stations.
Stayed here for 4 nights. The restaurant was nice, breakfast was good. We ate dinner on the patio one night. The staff were pleasant. The room was mostly fine but the mattress was the worst bed I've ever slept on in a hotel. I could feel the springs.

Alexander Pope - avoid it!Posted May 9, 2014
We booked a superior double at Alexander Pope for one night. The room was very tired. One draw front was missing, walls and ceiling stained and dust on the lamp stands. Tiles in the bathroom dirty. We complained this was not what we expected for a superior room and were moved. The room better but the bathroom tiles still dirty. Breakfast the next morning was the greasiest we have encountered for a long time.

Lovely room and bar area, very good value for money. Bit dissapointed that in arriving at 9.55pm to be told that kitchen was closed and they couldn`t do me even a sandwich. Ended up at a MacDondalds drive through

Nice hotel, great restaurant. Rooms very tired.Posted Nov 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed for two nights and overall had a pleasant stay. The staff were all very nice and the restaurant was excellent. Both for the breakfast and dining in the evenings. We opted for a superior room and, considering the price we paid, we were disappointed. The bedroom area looked quite tired and the bathroom was not good at all. The towel rail had broken off and there was mould on the ceiling and tiling. We would probably use the hotel again because of the convenient location to Twickenham Stadium and the restaurant. However, we wouldn't spend the extra on a superior room.

Friendly staff, good food and comfortable rooms. Free WiFi in all the rooms. A great little haven for the business traveller. Have re-booked for several trips.
