Good value hotel for excellent facilities

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pleasant environment with very helpful staff. Two double beds in a spacious very well presented room. Used a lot of taxis to get from hotel to other places as public transport from hotel not great.

All staff very helpful and friendly

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Everything except the price of breakfast
Location: Enjoyed walking up to the centre of Twickenham
Breakfast was excellent but at nearly £20 we found it a bit expensive however room rate at £40 a head we felt was very reasonable (considering other London prices at the moment for a 4 star hotel) - with 2 runners in the 10k London charity run the hotel were good enough to let them shower in their sports area on return from the run - many thanks.

Pros: Location and free parking.
Cons: Tiny issue, tea bags were tasteless and the biscuits were soft (old)

Excellent hotel, superb bed, linen and pillows. Nice and quiet, room was large, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely but a little steep at £18.50p

Too hot! Air conditioning broke! Windows locked!

Posted Jul 4, 2014
The whole stay experience was ruined by the air conditioning not working. A fan was running and making a noise but it didn't respond to any buttons. The room was 26C so far too hot to sleep comfortably. We couldn't even open a window as they had locked and screwed them shut! We both slept awfully. I mentioned the fault as soon as we arrived and gave them hours to fix it before we got back in the evening. All we got was a noisey fan to recirculate the hot air. Useless! I asked for a new room. "Oh no we are full up". Hard to believe as the internet was taking reservations. Got a nice phone call from the manager apologising and promising some Marriott reward points. A few more days later, got nothing on my rewards account!

Great Hotel

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The comfortable bed and the views from the room.
Location: Twickenham riverside 15 minutes walk away, Richmond riverside 10 minutes bus ride away, very close to the station, direct trains to waterloo.
Great location, 10 minutes away from Twickenham station, the hotel staff are very welcoming, the room was a good size, lovely views of Richmond and Twickenham. Really enjoyed our 1 night stay there.

Excellent property

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Modern, spacious rooms with a full size bathroom that included a shower and a tub.
Cons: Repair the lift
Location: The hotel is located in Twickenham Rugby stadium.
After two weeks traveling in Europe, this property was just what the doctor ordered. Modern, spacious rooms with a full size bathroom that included a shower and a tub. The restaurant service and food was outstanding. The Pub was spacious, clean, and provided huge televisions for your viewing pleasure. The only reason I didn't give a perfect score, one of the lifts was broken during my stay.

Marriott Twickenham

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Closeness to the stadium, but suitably separate...rooms were a good size, though a good dust would be better..
Cons: Attentiveness at breakfast to ensure everything is maintained and available...see above for in room entertainment.
Location: Watch the rugby!...
Really good experience, combining rugby 7's with local accommodation. Excellent breakfast, though service was generally ok, Some minor details could have been better, like serving coffee with milk jugs, or making sure crockery was sufficient... otherwise, a very nice stay...the only hotel I can recall where local and immediate control of the vent systems actually worked..to provide a colder room at night. Take a look at the Hilton brand who now provide an iMAC in each room allowing for TV, and internet in each room... Really great staff experience, everyone was helpful and friendly. Really helpful to have the twitter account, which helped out when required to resolve parking queries, and places to go in the evening in the local area.
