Good overnight stop

Pros: Cleanliness - staff efficiency and friendliness - free wifi and more than adequate breakfast
Cons: Nothing really
Location: On main road through ridgecrest and nothing to do within walking distance
Motel not hotel. Very clean with helpful and friendly staff. Free wifi and breakfast a definite bonus. Fine for an overnight stay on way to.or from death valley. Not in very interesting area though - nothing to do in the evenings.

Pros: Pet Friendly & Continental Breakfast
Cons: No Jacuzzi
Location: Small town nothing much to see or do.
Refreshing pool in hot weather.. No Jacuzzi. Pet Friendly was a big plus to us. We have a companion Pomeranian that takes us everywhere he goes.

A real nice surprise

Pros: The updated and cleanliness of the room made our experience exceptional
Cons: The noise outside of the room was easily heard. I would recommend being on the top floor or bring a box fan for "white noise".
Location: The hotel is on the main drag, central to any possible activity anywhere close to RIdgecrest. In our case, close to District 37 desert race.
This hotel was updated, comfortable, clean and the staff was great. The complimentary breakfast available in the AM was very good. Best of all, with comparable amenities, it's thirty dollars less than the hotel down the street. Loved that it had an in room fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The structure of the hotel is older so sound can be an issue. We'll be back, but will bring our box fan to have "white noise". Over all, for the money the experience was great.

The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The WIFI was slow at first but then kicked in. TV was old school flat screen.

Don't let the 2.5 stars fool you... it's nice

Nice little place in downtown Ridgetcrest. Bed was comfy, hot water worked and it wasn't priced like they are trying to reel in government contractors. It's also totally non-smoking... a nice plus.

Ok for one night

I've choose this hotel because it's good located when you pass through Death Valley when you come from Vegas. I've been surprise by all the comment because when you just arrive, you discover that this hotel need to be refresh… Everything look like old (people probably thing that's old fashion?), the windows are super thin and the door need to be slam when you wanna close it correctly! If you are very tired and you don't care about all of that, this hotel may be for your liking… Just one more precision, when you leave Death valley, you still need to drive 1 1/2 hours.

Acceptable hotel at a reasonable price
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Pros: Price, location (half way from San Diego to Mammoth)
Cons: Noise
Location: There were several casual restaurants nearby and is not far from the main road we were traveling on the way to Mammoth.
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and everything was in order. The biggest complaint would be how loud it was at night. We were in a ground floor unit and had a baby with us, so the people above us could be heard for hours after we tried putting her to bed. If you would like quiet I would recommend asking for an upper unit. Overall the hotel was reasonably priced and served our needs well.
