We didn't even stay the night

Posted Nov 17, 2014
I travel a lot each year and this is the first time I have ever left a hotel without even staying the night. The owners/managers did not speak English well so I knew trying to get a refund would be impossible. The front of the hotel looks ok but our room was in the back. First thing we noticed was our neighbor 2 doors down. They were a little scary to say the least. The hotel room smelled like a combination of mildew and chemicals. There were handprint on the bed headboard, numerous hairs in the bed and a huge stain! Between the creepy neighbors, the smell and the lack of cleanliness- we decided our health and safety wasn't worth $75. And elsewhere we went. I would not recommend to anyone

nice stay

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: nice staff
Cons: smoking room was small, could've been a little larger
Location: location was good
even for just one evening, our stay was ok and the room was clean. seemed like the hotel had done some fixing up. Room was clean. Could've been a little big larger but overall ok.

Close to the Metlife stadium for football game

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Near Metlife--clean
Cons: Breakfast room too small and crowded for the size of the motel.
Location: Near city and stadium
We wanted to be near the Metlife stadium for a football game. Found the motel easily and were told at the desk that we could get a cab for $35 to go to the stadium. We did this with the assurance that we would easily get a cab back. I assumed it would be again for the $35. However, we found this very difficult as the way back is longer than the way there. We finally found a cab willing to take us back for the same price. It was a little scary to be out there at midnight trying to find a cab for a reasonable price. I think the deck clerk could have warned us about this. Otherwise the motel suited our needs.

Great Experience

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Price, the helpfulness of the staff
Cons: Nothing
Location: We didn't spend anytime in New Jersey, it was close enough to Manhattan that it was easy to catch a bus in to sight see.
The staff were really helpful in all aspects of our stay and made the whole experience really enjoyable.

Awful Awful Awful

Terrible experience. Moldy shower curtain. Room was falling apart. Fake "hallway" built onto the front of the building to conceal the fact its actually a motel. Staff was very rude. Last time I'll ever stay at a Day's Inn and most likely the last time I'll ever use Expedia.
