“I've been there a couple of times.”
Ok, If you go there you have to book the king size bed roomes. They are on the best side of the hotel and much more clean (for generally few more dollars if booked through expedia, much more if you decide to change at the front desk). The queen size bed roome are not very clean and that side of the hotel doesnt feel secure. Other than that I guess it's convenients for someone who's visiting NYC (with a car).
“Convenient Location”
It was a basic hotel, with breakfast. The rooms are tiny, but the comfort level is decent. The location was the reason I stayed there, and turned out to be the best bet for traveling within New Jersey and Manhattan.
“OK for a place to sleep but nothing more”
Hotel was OK since we just needed a place to sleep. We had two double beds which fit very tightly into the room. More space would have been fine but for the price I think it was good enough to pass the night. It's right off 46 and close to 95, so it's not too far from the bridge into Manhattan, but watchout for traffic. Did include basic breakfast which was nice since we didn't have much time in the AM.
“Close to Palisade Park, NJ”
I sometimes stay in this hotel cause of close distance to Palisade park. I recommend you to stay in first floor, then you can park your car right in front of your room.
“2-star hotel”
Good value for the money. Not a great hotel, but not bad for the price and location. If you want more than a bed, bathroom, and TV, look elsewhere.
“Shabby”
When I booked this hotel Expedia said it was 2 miles away from Edgewater and it was not. It the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. First, it was not easy to find and I called the hotel for directions the front desk sounded as if they barely spoke English and told me I should use my GPS (which I did not have). When we finally found the hotel it was off the highway in the worst part of town or highway. I felt as if I stepped into a third world. I wanted to turn around and run. The dinner next to it was closed and falling down. The grounds around it were dug up and the people at the front desk were not very friendly. It looked as if the older gentlemen (stained shirt) was training the younger man with difficulty and the cleaning woman white smock was to dingy that it was turning gray. Checking in I asked if there was any where eat and the older gentleman looked at me as if I asked him to die and said "you will have to find a place". I asked him to recommend a place. He mumbled something to himself like I was bothering him and I said never-mind. I just wanted to get out of there. We walked down this long hall way with obvious big black stains on the carpet to our room. While the room and bathroom was clean the husband slept in his clothes and would not use the shower. The next morning the morning desk clerk was a little more professional and informational. However, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Will not work with you”
Wanted to move my trip by just a couple days, no difference in price of the room. And the staff was completely unhelpful and would not work with me. Caused a lot of hindrance in my travel plans. Will not stay at this location again for fear of a similar experience.
“Only stay if you have a low budget”
Shady location with horrible rooms.
“Hard to Locate a place!”
Hard to find it's location. The waiter in the fron desk can't speak English clearly and can't tell the location of the hotel on line!
“Too far from Manhattan”
Even though the hotel fee is cheap, the total cost will be expensive for travellars to Manhattan because the taxi fee is about 50 bucks to Manhattan. Bus schedule is also terrible.
