“comfy and clean, but noisy”
I wasn't too impressed at first, but that may just have been down to arriving about 12.30am. After spending a couple of days at the Hampton Inn I can say that the service was good and always polite, and the rooms were clean despite being slightly worn. The bed was comfortable, and despite the higher temperatures outside my room was cool even without turning on the air conditioning. The breakfast service was impressive, with a wide range of dishes offered in a self-service buffet. Location is OK as long as you have transport or don't mind paying for taxis; the hotel is right on the highway near the New Jersey turnpike so walking anywhere isn't really an option. But the recommended restaurants are good once you've got there; there's a great Italian and a steakhouse, both with equally friendly staff. My one real complaint has to be the noise, the double glazing didn't really kill the highway noise, and the fridge in my room rattled all the time. But overall I found the Hampton Inn a pleasant place to stay and would stay there again.
