“Most relaxing family holiday”

Amber rooms that we stayed in were spacious and nicely furnished. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach and what a beach! Lovely sand and the baltic sea is suprisingly very warm (we visited in July 2011). The hotel provides complimentary sunloungers and towels which were a nice touch. The spa in the hotel was wonderful and very reasonably price, the children could even have a massage at a very good rate. It is a big spa with plenty of staff - so no problems with appointments or reserving in advance. There is also an indoor swimming pool which is free and great for when there is a bit of rain. We were there for 14 days and had a very enjoyable time. The main tourists are Russia (probably about 80%) and the rest are Latvians. The ambience is very nice, relaxed and quiet. It feels a million miles away from most of Europe's main resorts and certainly there is no specific catering to cater for a home away from home for other countries - which made for a great change. We'll certainly be going back to Jurmala and loved our stay in the Baltic Beach which although it was expensive was definitely worth the price. If you wanted a week of spa pampering - this would be the place to go. It definitely caters well to familys, couples, people wishing to relax. Not the place to go for getting drunk and going to nightclubs! We'd also like to come back in the winter, it seems that a lot of people come to see the sea with the ice in it... Definitely will be returning.

“Nice location and beautiful seaview”

Pleasant place to stay for a couple of days to relax and get rest from megapolis. Located in the first line from the sea. Very quiet place in winter time. Friendly stuff. To save a few bucks, do not order taxi from the hotel reception - it is twice or even three times cheaper to get there from the airport by regular taxi. It takes 15-20 minutes drive. Go to Riga for a sounter by train - 30-40 minutes from the Hotel.

Everything was superb! Great place for relaxing holidays in Latvia.

“A great hotel”

This hotel was situated right on the beach and had some fantastic facilities. It was a family friendly hotel and I would definately reccommend it to those with small children. It was exactly as advertised, a 5* hotel although our room was definately only 3* and could really have benefitted from a lick of paint. All in all I would definately return to this hotel.

5 stars is good international quality 4 stars is ok but be careful wth 3 stars there - you'll be back in the USSR

“No WiFi in the rooms!”

There is no WiFi connection in the room, which is a real serious turn down for a business traveler like me! You got to the lobby bar to get a decent WiFi connection! Expedia didn't say it; it says Wireless internet in the rooms!!!!!!!!!!! Poor small 16inch TV in the room. I liked the balcony though!
