On bus line, easy to reach.
Posted Jan 28, 2012
Location: Airport bus stops at Stockman Center, large shopping center. From same sidewalk (about 30 feet up the sidewalk), take Bus#3 to Varnu Iela (street).
Easy to get to, on Pernevas Iela (street), on Bus #3 or #23. The bus stop is at Varnu Iela, which is the street just past the hotel. The breakfast is excellent, with many cold specialties and 3 hot items. The elevator works well. Heat in the rooms is adequate. Beds are low, but comfortable. The room was neatly arranged.

Pros: Food!
Location: Away out, easy when you knew how
On the whole the hotel was good A little more thought could have gone into bathroom design as you could not use the basin because the shower was so big -food in the resturant was superb!

Batpark Hotel is good for an overnight in Riga when we were driving a car from Riga to Vilnius, lithuana. Restaurant and room are fabulous. The neighborhood leaves a lot of remedial work to do.

Quiet hotel

Nice hotel. No problem. Good breakfast. The only think to point out was that the room (and corridors) was rather hot (maybe due to the towel dryer in bathroom very warm ?). I had to let the window wide open. Is there some airco control ?.

Clean, basic hotel. Big room. Poor location
Posted Jan 22, 2011 on Hotels.com
The size of the room we had was a nice surprise, and that it had a balcony, though the view was a bit depressing. The hotel is in a run-down, Soviet-style part of town but we never felt in any danger walking outside in the area. It's too far for most to walk to the main tourist destinations but we had a car so no problem. Also, there seems to be good bus service, though we didn't try it. The room was clean. Bathroom also spacious. It had a bath / shower combination but the shower didn't work. I informed the receptionist as we were checking out and she was very apologetic and I heard her calling someone to repair it as we left. Another receptionist wasn't particularly polite or helpful. They seem to keep maps and other brochures hidden in a cabinet behind the desk, available only when requested. The Riga Old Town and park were delightfully wonderful!

- Location is far enought from the center - 35 minuts by foot, 4 stops by trolleybus. During our stay sauna was closed for renovation + Spacious & well-found rooms, balcon, roof-top restorant with reasonable price, pleasant staff, free parking

Too far from old town for tourists

An OK hotel with nice people running it, but it is a $10 cab ride or 30 minute bus trip to the old town.
