Hostel Diguised as a HotelPosted Dec 3, 2013
Cons: the beds, the rooms, the staff
This place should have spent less money on their security systems and lobby and more on actual beds. Had to walk through a bar to get to the lobby and the rooms were the smallest i have ever been in. Would have been better staying in a central hostel

nice hotel conveniently located.Posted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: Location, décor, facilities.
Cons: All fine as is.
Location: In the old town so ultra convenient for sight-seeing. Also close to bus, tram and train making getting around really easy.
Staff helpful, good English and good advice, excellent breakfast range offerings, quiet room.

Given sub standard room, very small, shabby and old with almost bunk beds, breakfast fair, real noisy location

Mostly good experiencePosted Aug 11, 2013
Very friendly and helpful staff. We needed to catch a plane too early for breakfast so they had a box prepared for us at checkout. Only complaint is that the area is noisy at night from young people at late night bars. Need better soundproofed windows.

perfect locationPosted Aug 4, 2013
Cons: breakfast area quite small
great location, lovely breakfast (although not tons of room to sit inside, so don't come down at peak time!). Staff very helpful and friendly, and great English. Will definitely come again.

Riga old town hotelPosted Jul 23, 2013
Cons: See above
Location: Just behind the Black Heads building and within shouting distance of the town hall.
This hotel was all but ideally located for our purposes which was to explore the old town of Riga, being in walking distance of nearly everything we wanted to see. However it seemed to have problems with its courtyard restaurant services which were poorly patronized and had erratic service -- not a huge problem as there was a variety of restaurants in the near neighbourhood. One problem was with the Wifi facility, which was of the browser login type, which in my experience rarely works well with my android smartphone, and in this case worked for one day only, though paid for a week. The staff offered a workaround which did not meet my needs. The breakfast facilities were excellent.

Superb locationPosted Jul 8, 2013
A lovely hotel with great staff in superb location. The only small thing I can pick on is the lack of tv channels so many Russian ones and almost none in any other language including Latvian. I would definatley recommend it and stay again

Great location to see Riga's old townPosted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was lovely, only a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport (cost less than 10LV), and is in a perfect location to enjoy the sights of Riga's old town. The only let down with our room was the lack of air con since we happened to be visiting during a particularly hot weekend, however the staff could not have been more helpful and we had a fan in our room by the time we returned to the hotel. The people were lovely and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Riga is definitely worth a visit and this hotel is a great base from which to see it.

Heart of Old RigaPosted Jun 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great hotel in the heart of old Riga. The room decor is mediocre but otherwise you will not be disappointed.
