Good reviews well deservedPosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
My choice of this hotel was based mainly on the good reviews I had read. I wasnt disappointed. Its in a great location, the room was very comfortable, large modern bathroom, clean, friendly helpful staff, and superb breakfast. I couldnt really find any faults with this hotel.

Accommodating, comfortable and elegant hotelPosted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: flexibility, comfort
Cons: some standard rooms quite small
Very comfortable and modern hotel in a good location near to the station where you can hop on a train to Jurmala to the beach, airport bus, a lovely park and the old town. The staff also were really flexible accommodating our request to upgrade our room for the day so that we could also use the nice spa facilities. Finally, on my birthday it was a most lovely surprise to find a bottle of fizzy on ice and two glasses in our room with compliments from the hotel. Thank you for a really lovely stay :)

Close To Transportation & The Old CityPosted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
As always, the staff was very helpful and the room very comfortable and clean. The rates are very reasonable for being so close to the train and bus stations, as well as, the Old City. I always stay at this hotel when visiting Riga.

No AC - big problem on hot daysPosted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Location is very good. Close to Old City/Train/Bus/City. We were there on very hot days - no AC, no fans made it unbearable. My friend got a Cozy room and a day later I broke down too and got downgraded to an attic room with AC. (When I made the reservation, I opted for the better /bigger room and paid more money. However with no AC, I received the smaller/cheaper room for the same price. (Some adjustment was made for the cozy room, but not for the downgrade. - supervisor told us that the compensation is access to the SPA - that is a joke. I went to see it - it was so full (11 people ) that I could not even see it. Another woman wanted access and she was told it was booked solid and available only day time.) What can I say, I recommend this hotel for any month, except the hot ones ;-(

Great locationPosted Jul 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was lovley but unfortunate it was 30degrees outside and the hotel had no air conditioning so the rooms were as hot inside as out wich is a shame ,you could not sleep at night because it was so hot I asked at reception and they gave us two fans wich really did not help that much but other than that a good hotel ,food was very limited at night at hotel I would recommend old town in riga fantastic food .

For sure I would stay there again!Posted Jul 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great location! So close to Old Town Riga and everything else too! Great grocery store across the intersection, close to famous market, our view was the park across the street, the spa was wonderful, the breakfast buffet was the best ever! The front desk was sooo helpful, I don't have anything negative to say at all!

An attrective city and hotelPosted Jun 20, 2013
Pros: The staff without exception were most helpful and knowledgeable about their own town and their use of English was good.
Cons: "Hot" breakfast was almost always lukewarm or cold. A pity since the rest was quite acceptable
Location: Ten minute walk from "Old Town", local public transport good and plentiful
We arrived late and were given a good sized twin-bed room on 2nd floor which proved to be very noisy. The next day the staff went to great trouble to find us an acceptable alternative which they did on the 4th floor facing a different direction. We had some problems with airport transport but these were resolved. Riga is a very busy city and has a large number of one-way roads. This can be confusing if using public transport. Also we were advised to only use the red or green taxis - there are plenty of other shades operating. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

One nightPosted Jun 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was only there for one night. It is very clean and I felt safe. The room was very small though. Nice breakfast in the morning.
