Great location.....Posted Sep 11, 2011 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for the recent Moto Gp, we booked a room about a month before the event, all other accomodation was either booked or Hotels had double or tripled the tarifs for the weekend. I didnt hold very high hopes for this establishment based on Tripadvisor reviews yet was still disappointed. The bed by far was the most uncomfortable we had slept on in our 3 months stay in Europe. I could barely walk the next day without my back twinging. The Shower only has hand held shower head, with no hook to hang it on. only two powerpoints in the whole room, one for the TV and one in the bathroom, which we had to stretch the fan into, that left nowhere to charge any electrical items while we were in the room. No air conditioner, apparntley many of the hotels in the area lack these. Couldn't leave the wndow open due to mosquito's and a barking dog across the street. The fan barely kept us cool. Breakfast did not start until 8am!!! As we were attending the race, this was very inconvienent as we needed to leave by 7:30, we went to the supermarket and bought our own food. The other two days we had the breakfast there, the milk was warm as was the orange juice, the range of food was lacking and as was the quality. Very Basic. On Hotels.com they claim to have secure parking, this is false, we parked on the street under a tree with the car hanging over the kerb on to the road, only 4 parking spaces. They also claim to hav Wifi in the room, also not true it only works in the lobby. The owner and the staff were nice. But too many things made this an unpleasant stay. I only ever expect what they tell me on hotels.com when i arrive. One street away from the beach on a positive note.
