“Magical and worth the long drive to get there”

The Rio Celeste exceeded all expectations the rooms and the hotel itself is immpecable clean spacious food was delightful the staff friendly and very helpful.... this was our first time to Costa Rica and we will return and make a point of going again to The Rio Celeste... make sure you go to the waterfall, and river rafting...

“Utter Paradise!”

We arrived at the hotel after a long drive, surprised to be met on the stairs with cool towels and refreshing fruit drinks. It typically takes my husband 3 or 4 days to unwind on vacation, but on this trip, he unwound on the very first day. Our casita faced the rainforest, and the sounds and sights were both beautiful and relaxing. We had the feeling of complete privacy. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful, and breakfast was good. I had a "natural de pina" everyday! They were delicious! The pool is wonderful, though the whirlpools were not hot. That wasn't a problem, as we had a jacuzzi in our room. The service was excellent. We walked into the national park to where two fairly normal rivers come together to form a luminous blue river which leads to amazing falls where we swam. Evidently the color is brought on by a chemical reaction. There are also hot springs. Go early on the hike, because our entire hike/swim expedition was six hours long. My opinion is that you don't need a guide. To get to this hotel you will absolutely need 4-wheel drive and a GPS. Don't even think of going without those (or a hired driver who knows where it is). This was our favorite place in Costa Rica, and I might add, we spent our last two nights at the JW Marriott, which was the only place where we had problems! The hospitality, ambiance, and privacy of the Rio Celeste Hideaway was unmatched on our entire trip!

“The most surreal experience.”

Rio Celeste Hideaway is one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had. The staff is loyal and caring and they are so happy to make your experience enjoyable. The drive is worth this experience!!!!!!!!! I will treasure this place in my heart always!!! Pura Vida!!!

“Paradise Hideaway”

Great hotel set in the jungle of Tenorio Volcano in Costa Rica. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and a joy to be around. A difficult ride to get to the hotel over 16Km of rochy road but well worth it in the end.

An amazing place... a tough drive getting there but well worth it ... one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at ... just as good as it gets!!

“Know what to expect”

Tenorio that had awesome casado pescado for only $7 including drink. Staff was friendly and service oriented EXCEPT for information on things to do "on ones own." Not sure if that's because there really isn't anything (we were quite far away from things) or if they wanted to support the guides???
