“Apa Hotel is wonderful”

The hotel is simple but clean the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, 2 blocks from the beach. I had a wondeful experiende and would recommend this to everyone.

“Reasonable & convenience”

This hotel was not the best I have stayed in but it was conveniently located and the surrounding neighborhood was ok. We used the bus service to move around and we picked it up one street away and was dropped off right at the corner of our hotel. If you are over 200 lbs, i suggest you get another hotel because the bathroom would not be able to accomodate you. It was a stand up and if I dropped the soap, I could not bend down to pick it up and I weigh 140 lbs. If you are looking for somewhere to just rest your head then this is the place for you. If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere. The Copa beach was 3 block away, walking distance, and to get to some sight seeing you just needed to take the bus. Of course there are shopping within walking distance which make the location convenient. The staff were friendly and very accomodating. The breakfast was the same every morning and you get free internet access in the lobby waiting area. They even changed our US $ for us.

“Safe neighborhood, good price, close to beach”

The Apa Hotel is a mere two blocks from Copacabana beach, is in a safe neighborhood to travel or go out to dinner at night, and was perfect for me as a single woman traveling alone. I would tour in the day and have the prefect pit stop there before hitting the beach. The staff was friendly, curteous, and cared about my wellbeing, my trip and spoke to me in English. The morning breakfast was very nice, there is a safe in your room and a mini fridge, airconditioner, and small balconies in some rooms. The paint on the wall is chipping and there were ants in the bathroom, but if you can go for a no-frills room in a safe area with nice staff, this is the place and the price was right.
