“Great Off beach location”

I was completly satified,5 minutes to beach. Greatlocation for the price

Good value for the price. Simple, efficient and clean. Air conditioner was old but it worked.

“Excellent budget choice”

I was impressed with the quality of this hotel. The staff is very courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. The location, 3 blocks from the beach, was interesting: a very "local" street with locals shopping in supermarkets, drugstores, bookstores, eating in local restaurants, it had a great feel to it. And there were people on the street at all times so I felt safe walking back at night. I had a smoking room, though I am a nonsmoker, and it did not smell at all--a compliment to the cleaners.

“Good location”

The location is rather good, about 1 block from the subway, and 3 blocks from the beach. The room was clean but not very big (just about right for two persons). The sound insulation from outside the room is not very good (if you can, ask for a room on the high floors: the noise from the road below is rather annoying). Breakfast offers a wide choice, and everything is good. The only negative point was the lady in chage of the breakfast room: she was rather unfriendly. The rest of the staff was very nice and always helpful. The hotel offers a very nice pool and sundeck on top of the building (one of the highest in Copacabana). Wireless internet access is available (I paid 15 Reals per day), but the connection was rather unstable, at least on my floor. They also offer a PC with internet access in the lobby. Overall a good hotel. With some adjustements (better noise insulation, better internet access) it would be an excellent hotel.

“Good value in pretty good location”

I liked this hotel and found it clean and pretty good value for its location. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you need to do your laundry there is a cheap laundrette next door and a cheap internet shop just down the street. Overall, good value for its location.

“Good Hotel/Will Be Returning”

I am not a beach person, and could have gotten a better value in a non-beach area, but I am glad I was at this hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient. I read on another site that you don't get a view - you have to step out on the balcony and look to your right. This is true, but it didn't mention that you get an awesome view of Sugarloaf. I was lucky to be on the 12th floor. The rooms (except for the bathrooms) are very basic. The area is a great place to be centered in as the new metro station opened up only 2 blocks away. Catching a bus to other parts of Rio was a breeze.

“Very good value”

This hotel is a real good value. It is definitely not the greatest hotel, but provides good, clean and safe accommodations with an extremely helpful staff at a reasonable price and a good breakfast.

“Not fancy but fine”

This hotel is well located, right between Copacabana and Ipanema and near the last metro stop. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is quite serviceable. I found the staff helpful.
