“Great vacation hotel”

The hotel was well located overlooking the Copacabana Beach. There was an area on the beach reserved solely for the J.W. Marriott hotel guests. All the staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. We upgraded to the executive level so we could use the executive lounge. The lounge was a little small for the size of the hotel and the food and drink selection was limited, although it has to be said that they mixed a really good Caipirinha. The only slight complaint I would make is that the bed was rock hard, but I also appreciate that someguests would appreciate that. I would definitely stay here again.

This is really a 5 star hotel. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the service is very good and the location appropriate. Nevertheless, Copacabana beach is crowded and a bit dirty.

“Great Hotel - Wonderful Breakfast - Impeccable Service”

We had a wonderful time at the JW Marriott in Rio. From Check in to the warm smiles we received at Check out, this was a fantastic experience. We had the deluxe ocean view room with the breakfast included. The room was really nice and clean. We were on the 18th floor, just under the M in the sign. The view was magnificent. Breakfast was a treat we looked forward to each morning. The wait staff was so friendly and helpful, our waiter even carried my plate from the buffet to the table for me. Everyone speaks English, which was nice because our Portuguese is not the best. The concierge was really helpful, although we didn't book any tours through them, they helped with transportation etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

“Great location, Decent price,”

I read several "negative" reviews about the JW Marriot in Rio De Janeiro "after" making our reservations, and was very concerned and apprehensive at first. Now, after staying there for 8 nights, we found the JW Marriot as one of the best Hotels we've stayed in around the world. Everything was excellent, from the location, the quality of the customer service, the cleanliness of the hotel and room, the tasty food, the amenities offered, the knowledgeable and friendly staff, etc. The rooms are a little small, but who stays in the room in Rio? This particular Marriot appears to be more of a business oriented hotel, rather than catering to tourists. But I think that simply worked to our advantage. We would most assuredly stay at this JW Marriot again, no questions asked.

Very nice hotel. In this trip to Brazil we've stayed in six different hotels in this one is definatelly the best, but is the most expensive as well.

Excellent service.....good people......they clean ur everyday while ur out...and the beds are excellent with alot of pillows...i loved it...and it was cheap for usd

“Nice Hotel the best location”

The hotel and the staff where great the concierge allways gave us the best recomendations for tours and dinning, you can really rely ontheri advice. Allway take hotel's taxis, they are more expensive but worth it, these taxis helped us to get faster to Rio's turistic places, and in some cases avoided us to do long lines. Definitly de Best Hotel in Rio just right in Copacabana Beach.

Really wonderful staff and beautiful hotel. It is a GREAT location across the street from Copa beach.
