Clean and functional

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the airport Cleanliness
Cons: The welcome Organisation Breakfast
Location: Airport hotel
Stayed a couple of nights. Not a very thrilling hotel but it was immaculately clean and it's proximity to the airport means serves it's purpose if you have an early flight, as the traffic in Rio can be awful. For decor, think IKEA and you'd be close to the mark. The lady on Reception (Alice) needs to learn how to smile at the customers and look welcoming as she had a face like a fiddle while we checked in. Also, despite an exchange of about 4 emails with the hotel regarding a third bed being put in our children's room, she didn't seem to know about it and one had to be hurriedly made up. We were tired as it was late and we had had a long day's travelling but then we had to call up for a duvet for the third bed as it only had a sheet, all very tiresome! We had booked two superior rooms and our rooms were adjoining via a little area with a communal front door - really liked this. Unfortunately, our room overlooked some scrubland where all the yellow taxi drivers go to hang out and talk at the tops of their voices in the morning which woke us up. Breakfast was pretty substandard: there was a reasonable selection but it had the taste of airplane meals. I would have been happier with just a really fresh, crumbly croissant and jam but it was mainly stodge and some processed cheese and meats. There was a toasted sandwich maker but it was too dirty to use. Juices were nice.

Pros: Ease to get to and from airport
Cons: Noise by empty fridge in room
easy to get to and from the airport by bus. Rooms are functional. Came with no expectations, and did not leave with negative experiences.

Convenient location, fast shuttle pickup/drop-off

Not much I can write about it, as it was a quick stay for me. Just in & out & a quick snooze and shower. Didn't get a chance to see the included breakfast due to sleep. Excellent wifi, beds were comfortable, rooms & bathrooms clean

Good Airport Hotel - Value, Comfort and Good Food

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Pretty much everything, and staff attitude particularly
Cons: Bar downstairs very basic
I spent a night at this hotel after 23 hrs of traveling and was delighted to take a break there. Shuttle was efficient, and hotel is close by the airport (but well sound proofed). Check-in quick and efficient, and room clean, big comfortable bed and efficient air-con. Restaurant was good, with excellent steak on 1st night and a really good breakfast buffet. Staff very helpful - even charged my phone as I had forgotten my adapter. Bar rather basic. Good value!

My partner and I were stopping over in rio for a night before moving on.. It's PERFECT IF your looking for a hotel close to the airport and that's it. They have a free shuttle service which was easy to organise. Staff were friendly. Pool is nice. Only down fall is there is NOTHING around. And I mean nothing, so if ur only looking for a place to sleep.. This is the one..if not, go else where as rio is quite spread out

As airport hotels go this was all rather pleasant; clean, helpful staff, good air conditioning and near the airport. If we needed another airport hotel we'd stay here again.

Convenient for Galeao -- nothing more!

Pros: Convenience
Cons: The buffet.
Location: There is nothing to do anywhere near the Linx as far as I'm aware.
We stayed here for a night after arriving from Europe for a flight to Salvador the following morning. It seems to be the only hotel right next to the airport. The room was OK, clean and reasonably comfortable. The only place to eat was the hotel restaurant. Being Brazil it was buffet only. I have to say it was the worst buffet I've ever eaten, dry, tasteless and overcooked. It was also very expensive. Everwhere in the hotel was so brightly lit I felt I needed sun glasses. We'd hoped to relax in the bar for an hour, but it was tiny and uncomfortable and far too bright. The only think going for this hotel, which was very expensive by Brazilian standards, is that it's probably the only place to spend a night between flight connections.

Great facility close to the international airport

Posted May 22, 2014
Pros: Simple clean and friendly
Cons: It is what it is
Location: As above excellent for arrival / departure from Rio - from the safety point of view, arrival late evening and travelling in an unknown area or longer
Excellent location for an overnight stay arriving or leaving Rio - not for a longer time though as it is a distance from Copacabana and the centre of the city.
