Good locationPosted Aug 16, 2014
Cons: Charging for wifi in the room is silly.
Location: Cocacabana beach
2 blocks from beach and 3 blocks from subway. Comfortable and clean but not elegant. Good value for the price. Hotel staff mostly helpful in navigating around Rio. Good breakfast.

Located in nice part of Copacabana beachPosted Jun 7, 2014
Pros: Location; rooftop bar; nice lobby; great breakfast; reasonable price for amenities
Cons: Mattresses were not the most comfortable.
Location: One of the world's most famous beaches two blocks away. Lots of shopping and great restaurants nearby. Ride the cable car up to Päo de Asucre...
Only two blocks from the beach, the Hotel fronts a nice city park where the locals gather for conversation and games of chess and checkers. There are lots of nice sidewalk cafés in the area. The breakfast was very good. As is the case with most "fancy" hotels, they charged for internet access; however, I was somehow able to access wi-fi for free on my smart phone.

i enjoyed the close proximity to the beach/strip but did not like the neighborhood directly behind the hotel. dirty, smelly and overcrowded.

Stayed at the Mar Palace Hotel 29th March-8th April. Cleaniness of room excellent. Very friendly staff. Hotel amenities very good- just two things that we weren't happy about. This was the only Hotel we have ever stayed in that didn't have a coffee making machine or an iron. The buffet breakfast wasn't upto much; we stayed 10 nights and had the same menu everyday- scrambled egg with chorizo or scrambled egg with oily, fried chicken.

good & central hotelPosted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: central location. friendly staff, good breakfast
Cons: i suggest they offer free wifi in the room and cheaper tours.
i would recommend this hotel: it is close to the beach & the rooms are refurbished.

COMFORT AND SERVICE AT COPACABANAPosted Mar 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
The service was excellent especially as we were able to access the room before check-in time after a long overnight flight, and to use the top (pool) floor after checkout while waiting for our transport. The room was large, clean and quiet and the food was excellent, especially the breakfast. Highly recommended.

Very Old hotel , Internet SucksPosted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: reception friendly stuff
Location: good Brazilian restaurant must try next to the hotel ,
Hotel Very Old , NO VIEW AT ALL which was disappointing to be in RIO and no View, Internet only in the reception , even if you pay to use room internet its very very bad. hotel reception friendly . breakfast acceptable but not great. location is good near the beach, but the hotel do not provide anything except old towels. my flight was at 11 night , i have a new born baby so i request for a late check out but was rejected , no way to extend more than 11am i asked for a late check out. Old window AC in the room , there was a kind of renovation without informing us either while doing the booking or while staying , all the day TOK TOK TOK TOk over our heads.
