I was expecting more of the hotel. Hotel did not offer any flexibility to an additional bed to the room. They said they do not do it even though I wanted to pay extra costs. Furniture in the lobby area is old and tables are wobbly. The same in the restaurant. Bathroom dis not have cold water in the aink. No decoration in the rooms. very disappointed and will never stay there again.

En general el hotel esta bien. Las toallas viejas y la limpieza del baño/ducha no se realiza debidamente, las camas/cuarto muy bien. Desayuno el mismo de siempre todos los dias. Ubicacion excelente y el servicio excelente. Los 2 unicos detalles son las toallas que son fatales, viejas y en mal estado y la limpieza del baño: tiene hongo de mal lavado por muchos lugares.

Beach is 2 blocks away. You will have dining options along the beach. You might see homeless people around the park.

Nice property very close to the beach, supermarkets and restaurants. One elevator didn’t work. Had to use the stairs on different occasions. The elevator that worked stopped automatically on every floor

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean. The area was close to the beach and other shopping, and the bus stops. The biggest negative was the NOISE through the bathroom drains - we could hear everything going on in the bathrooms around us - everything!

Great staff great location room very clean and nice. 1 block form beach. The only negative and it’s not a big deal but roof top bar is not open anymore and the main bar in lobby was closed, but many options around the hotel

Located centrally in Copacabana, with the good and bad of the area. Homeless people are in the whole Rio, if that scares you, you shouldn't come to Rio . Some people stay around the entrace, but they won't bother the guests. The bed was confortable and the staff really nice. However, the bathroom could use a deep cleanning once in a while. Overall it was a great experiemce. Definitly staying there again

This hotel is in a great location. The staff was friendly and check-in was fast and easy. The property is old and I was disappointed to see a couple of bugs in the bathroom. You could pay less and stay in the Centro at a much newer and better hotel. Expedia said this was a 4 star hotel but I don’t think it was correct.

Good hotel in an excellent location
The stay was pleasant and comfortable, the staff is pleasant and helpful, don't expect luxury and grandeur, but definitely clean and reasonable, and most importantly, an excellent location, in the center of lively Copacabana

Not worth your money!!
In all the years of using Hotels.com this will be my first negative review of a hotel stay. If you want cheap and near the beach in Rio Janiero this can be your place. The only other thing positive is the water is very hot for showers. Upon check-in I was immediately told I could not get any coffee due to the Covid crisis and there was no room service. This placed offers a free breakfast hot with coffee in the mornings but apparently after breakfast Covid takes the place over. The attitude of the people behind the desk was very flippant and unprofessional they won’t make any recommendations or guide you anywhere but if you wanna book a tour through them they’ll be glad to take your money. They provided a laundry service. DO NOT use it!! It’s very expensive and not worth the price. I was told that I would have my laundry back in one day so I gave it to them the night before and they never returned the laundry. I called and they could not locate it nor seem to be interested in doing an investigation, The following day around noon my laundry finally showed up. Because the restaurant wasn’t functioning the one immediately cross the street was open with good food but again horrible personal service. If you want a cheap hotel that’s near the beach and you want to go out and eat it or maybe a young traveler this is your place. If you’re Traveler like me who gets an executive room and wants a better quality of stay do not ever stay at this place!

Big, comfortable rooms. Nice, but small rooftop with view of Christ the Redeemer. Very small pool. Bed was super comfortable and staff friendly and quick. Breakfast had many choices, including fruits, eggs, meats, breads, cakes, juices, water and coffee.

Nice staff, even most don't speak much of English (but that is normal in Rio) - Alec was very helpful. He recommended us a tour - One Day in Rio with Jony as a guide and was very good. Great location in the middle of Copacabana. Next to the post office, grocery, restaurants, beach... Good breakfast. On the downside, the size of the swimming pool is such that only kids could utilize it. It is more like a large jacuzzi.

This hotel need improvements ASAP!! The rooms are old and u can here everyone next your room no privacy, shower are bed build when take a shower your bathroom becomes a lake. The mattress in the bad are the worse u can see and feel the individual springs and sinks on the middle I mention to the staff they say they couldn’t do anything about it hotel is busy! The computer on the front desk full of virus and pop ups with pornography again mention to the front desk they didn’t take any action !! Rooftop it’s nothing like the pic the pool is a fish tank sauna it’s duty and rusty!! Location is good that’s about it !! Won’t be staying I have had much much better hotels for half of the price!

Diligent cleaning staff.
Most of the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good and there was a good selection of fruit, breads, eggs and breakfast meats. The cleaning staff was friendly and diligent. As the song goes, they absolutely "...work hard for the money, so you better treat her (them) right." However, the rooms that ended as "09", regardless of the floor, have windows that face the hotel's outside air corridor, thus little natural light gets into the rooms and when you open the windows, you get the constant drones of the air conditioner fans of the other rooms and building. Also, be aware of the early check-in fee if you arrive before 2pm and if you decide to leave your bags with the hotel while you go to get breakfast, lunch or explore the area, that too will be done for a fee. Outrageous!!!

Great place to stay
Stayed for 5 nights at the end of December 2019 including New Years' Eve. The hotel is well situated for Copacabana beach, Sugar Loaf Mounta8n and Cristo Redentor. Itwas clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were all pleasant and happy to answer questions. On New Years' Eve we were given a complimentary bottle of champagne to toast the New Year.
