Good hotel

liked everything except location of television in the room, VERY awkward. Breakfast very good except chicken/beef in sauce not appropriate, bacon would have been nice sometimes. Rooftop pool lovely if a bit tiny,

Great location and staff
Posted Jan 15, 2013
The room was adequate. It's what you'd expect in Rio. Don't go there expecting a 5 Star North American hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, and made some great recommendations for food. It's is very well located, close to the beach and subway. The wifi is not free in the rooms, however it is free in the lobby. The breakfast buffet every morning was decent.

good value for rate paid

the hotel can be rated as three-star-property and has a good/safe location at Copacabana. Unfortunately the service at the pool/bar on the top floor is not working at all.

Great holiday in Rio
Posted Jan 10, 2012
Pros: friendly staff, cleanliness and breakfast
Cons: the view we had from room 207
Location: Great location
The hotel is well placed close to the beach, staff were very friendly... Clean, comfortable rooms but I wish we had a room overlooking the park at the front of the hotel instead

Overall decent hotel
Posted Jan 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
Front desk service was excellent, breakfast mediocre, daily room service left some to be desired. No drinking water, no kleenex, no spare rolls. Gym was terrible, tiny room on the roof surrounded by glass without AC with just a couple of minimal cardio machines, the pic in the ad was taken so the mirrors make the gym look huge. There's a good gym two blocks away but drop-ins are 50 reals. Grocery store across the street. Still decent value for the location, only 1.5 blocks from Copa beach.

Ok place to stay for a day
Posted Jan 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
I had to stay a day in this hotel waiting for my flight back home. The hotel was comfortable; however, the service was not all that great. The person at the desk was pretty friendly and polite. However, I could hardly understand what he was saying. I thought that someone was taking my bags to my room, but after I located them sitting by the elevator, I ended up taking it up myself and found my own room. The free breakfast was great, but the staff ignore foreign speaking guests. Puts no effort to try to understand what you want or what you are asking. As a matter of fact the waiter never looked up. I helped myself at all times. No help by staff for foreign guests that speak no Portugese. Otherwise pretty convenient area with park right accross the street full of people and transportation at the door.

Ok hotel for business traveller
Posted Jan 24, 2012
This hotel is clean and safe but pretty basic. From a business traveller point of view it does the job with free wireless internet and a decent self serve breakfast. If you are staying a weekend you may find it nicer to find a hotel on the beach as you will have no view from your window. It is reasonably well positioned with a couple of decent restaurants nearby and a few supermarkets to stock up the fridge in the room.
