hotel close to the beachPosted Dec 4, 2013
Cons: hotel staff
When you book the ocean view hotel, you might have a chance to take the room on the 2nd & 3rd floor, then you won't see 50% of the ocean due to some trees to affect your view. Be careful to use the internet; select the wrong option will give you hundreds dollars of bill..or they probably mess up the bills even though you didn't use internet

Nice Hotel at end of CopacabanaPosted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: Location only...
Cons: I thought I was in Tokyo. It is like living in a Box. If you want to cross from one side of the room to the other, must jump over the bed literally.
Location: Rio Copacabana and next to Leblon/Ipanema. Very good location.
The hotel is located on the extreme end of Copabacana, at the beginning of Leblon. Highly recommended if you are looking for location. Easy access to anywhere in Rio.

Excellent staff, breakfast and location...Posted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Location, view, staff, breakfast, service.
Cons: pool area to have more seating or be enlarged.
Location: Two cute beach side restaurants, walking distance to Ipanema and Leblon, clean streets, right near a bus stop, supermarket around the corner.
My fiance and I tried to read reviews before we booked our hotels in Rio because we did not want to experience the vacation nightmare that you hear sometimes. We read mixed reviews on this place but took the advice of paying a little extra for the view of the ocean! There was a tree in front of our window but that still doesn't beat the view or opening the window for fresh air. The only issue is the road is directly in front of the hotel so if you are one who likes to listen to the relaxing sounds of the beach at night, this is not the place for you, nor is any other hotel in Rio.. No hotels down there are RIGHT on the beach like we see here in the U.S. Two awesome little restaurants right next door, walking distance to some AWESOME beaches. Sauna area was a little stinky, pool area is small, but you cannot beat the view from that rooftop. Room was perfectly remodeled and clean looking and smelling. No balcony but the staff is top of the line. Good English, right there to help any time and funny. Breakfast is superb. If/when we go back to Rio, I'll bet we'll be staying there!

Orla Copacabana HotelPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is conveniently located in Copacabana Beach. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The breakfast buffet has lots of tropical fruits, natural juices, coffee, milk eggs, ham turkey, cheese and sweets. There are shops, restaurants, supermarkets, drug stores within a few blocks near the hotel. You can also get to Ipanema within a mile walk where you will find another beach, and a great variety of shops ,restaurants and bars to go out at night. I had a great stay considering the price is not so high as other hotels in the Copacabana area. The view from the top is impressive where there.s the exercise room and a small pool.

Great location............everything else averagePosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Location Solid wifi in the room
Cons: The bed, it was solid like sleeping stone. That isn't much of an exaggeration either.
Location: Beach Shopping Food
Location is great, right across from the beach and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Wifi was very good, although found out at check out they were charging us even though I never signed up or agreed to it. They did however credit back the charge after we put up a stink about it. They view from the window was a brick wall with another room ac unit from the hotel next door :(. No parking available unless your lucky enough to find street parking. We did luck out with that but I think we did because it was off season. Breakfast was good and included. A lot cheaper than eating out every morning. All in all a bit expensive but I'm used to hotels in the U.S. From what I've been told the price we paid was good for a hotel right on Cococabana Beach.
