The staff was great. Clean but had a smell in our first room, so had to be moved to another room. The decor and furniture are a little dated. Breakfast was great. The beach area was also very nice with great on-beach service.

Excellent accommodation a lovely view from the Copacabana beach from our balcony,I would recommend this hotel for travelers like me. They also have a buffet breakfast with a lot of fruits and juices everything is fresh love it.

Overall nice stay. The hotel was nice and the rooftop pool and bar are great! The rooms feel tired and needing of an upgrade, and the room was only cleaned once over our 6 night stay. Great location, but probably slightly overpriced for what you get, probably wouldn’t return.

This place is right across from the beach and they have staff on the beach to watch your items while you swim. The pool is great and the food was excellent

I booked a superior room, which was unsatisfactory so I upgraded to a deluxe with a balcony and sea view. In my opinion it’s only worth staying here if you book that room. The staff is pleasant and fairly helpful. I was calling and messaging (via what’s app) for assistance with my bags on my last day, and they just didn’t respond - so found that a bit off putting. They provide beach chairs and towels if needed. Overall it was okay, I think there are better options on Copacabana.

I stayed twice, 2 nights each time. Would not have returned for the second stay if I had known better. I was put in a room for a handicap with a wheelchair access bathroom. Totally unsuitable.

Great location with spectacular views from the rooftop. Pool bar/restaurant was great, the main restaurant, whilst the food was good, lacked atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful and smart reception area. Rooms very small and not the cleanest, found a pair of someone elses underpants on a shelf on the bedside cabinet!

The service was excellent from the moment I walked in I was greeted with a welcome drink, Sasha at the front desk was the best he made sure my room was ready as it was my birthday, he also arranged a massage for me. The check in process was smooth, the staff was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel the beach it literally across the street and they have covered seating for their guests.

This hotel is in an excellent location. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom had a wonderful shower. The front desk was always helpful. Just do not let them talk you into taking a metered taxi. Take an Uber instead. But we would stay here again if we were ever in the area.

Decent stay at this hotel right in the thick of copacabana. Good nearby dining options and a great rooftop for drinks and views of copacabana beach and sugar loaf. Hotel not as good as other Portobay hotels but the Staff were exceptional. Would stay again.
