We were not sure what to expect from this hotel, seeing as the alternatives were a LOT more expensive but it had a GREAT location - only one block from the sea and one from the shops, restaurants within walking distance and a very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and the hotel was very well maintained. I would definitely recommend a friend to stay there for comfort, convenience and value for money.

“Great Hotel, Location, and Staff”

Wonderful small-ish hotel one block off the beach. Good Breakfast of fresh fruit, juices, breads, eggs and coffee. clean and in great conditon, loved the big shower. only minor complaint was the mattress was a wee bit uncomfortable. i would stay here again in a minute and highly recommend it. great area - one block from the beach. we walked to most of the other activities - 5 minutes to the metro stop, great vitamina restaurant right around the corner

The room was very clean. The staff was very accomodating when asked any type of questions or directions. The hotel is extremely well located and a block away from the beach and many nice restaurants within walking distance.

“Great location, great staff”

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location is great, you can walk to anywhere in Ipanema or Leblon and the beach is a block away. Buses stop right at the hotel in case you want to use public transportation. The hotel seems to be frequented more by business travelers than tourists. The rooms are efficient and clean. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The free breakfast was just right. Highly recommended!

The hotel is only one block from the beach and surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Good price for location. Clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast and wifi works well to communicate back home.

“Finely appointed”

This is a great find for Ipanema where things are not all what they seem to be and it pricey. It is close to the beaches, public transport, and all the fine things Ipanema offers. Staff is gracious and tries to please as much as they can. Brazilian hotels are not tour savvy and Viconti also suffers from this flaw: you end up paying for expensive but poorly staffed tours. It's better to check with nearest youth hostels for better tours and activities which are more affordable, better quality and a greater variety.
