Brilliant location on Copacabana Beach

Posted Oct 22, 2014
We stayed 3 nights mid-October. On arrival we were given a free upgrade to a sea view room , which gave us a superb prospect of the unique beach and promenade . The room was fine , and the general ambience of the hotel was relaxed. The buffet breakfasts were excellent , the service slick and polite. The rooftop pool was a great find , and enabled us to relax and chill for a few hours in the late afternoon sunshine each day. But what really makes this hotel is it's splendid location in Rio. Next door to the Copacabana Palace Hotel , 30 seconds from the most famous beach in the world , a short walk to Ipanema Beach , all the shopping in the world on the doorstep and all the tourist hot spots just a short taxi ride away. Very good value !

Great hotel in Copacabana

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Almost everything.
Cons: The room decoration seems too simple. However, we visited Peru and Argentina before this, sounds like South American style
Location: Play on the beach, try Brazilian foods at different restaurants.
We stayed there for three nights, and felt great. Great location, few steps to the beach, three blocks to the Metro, taxi station is around the corner. You can also walk on the Atlantica Ave to find many restaurants and street food on the other side on the beach. Staffs are very helpful and courteous. They helped our friends to find their hotel close-by voluntarily, also helped to offer trip tips, arrange Samba show, taxi, and etc. Room is very clean, spacious and clean. We love it. The breakfast is great, a lot of fruits. The con part is the price. However, everything in Rio is expensive. So, we can bear with that.

Good location

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, breakfast
Nice beach front hotel, but our room was facing a side street, very disappointing. Furthermore, for an expensive hotel, it was greedy to charge an extra hefty daily fees for an Internet connection in our room. This was the only hotel in our whole trip in Brazil which charged this fees for providing a very common service. However, the location is good, staff was good and the breakfast was good.

Hotel in Copacabana

Posted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: The fact that it was very close to the beach
Cons: The reception area is very small and crowded at times. Some of the peoples working at the reception were not very friendly.
We stayed for 4 nights at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was clean and the Wi-Fi worked very well (not included in room price). The beds were comfortable. Rather expensive considering the size of the room.

Don't believe the photos

Posted Aug 26, 2014
The pool in the picture is not the pool at the hotel which is more like a 15 x 10 tub. Also by clever photograph the rooms are much smaller than they appear about 25x12.
