I chose this hotel because of it's location to the cruise port. This was a mistake. When the hotel warns you to stay in the lobby until your taxi/uber arrives tells you about the area. Should have stayed in Copacabana. While i had a noisy fan in my room, i did enjoy my stay. Someone complained about the lack of english. While They should have their information manuals translated into English as it is the international travel language. (Just go to Tokyo to see the signs are in English). It is costing them revenue as i would have made some additional purchases if i knew some of the prices. As far as breakfast buffets go, it's okay. I hate when hot dogs are called sausages. While I loved the array of fresh fruit, I hated the ham and cheese sandwiches. i ordered soup for dinner and it was great. They serve it with a basket of garlic bread. I think that the practise of the waiters sharing the tip with the kitchen staff should be adopted every where. i doubled the service charge or tip because if the soup. I wish i could have tried the dinner biffet. The pool on the roof is very impressive and i enjoyed being up there.

Rooms are clean and the hotel is located near the sambadrome, which is convenient. Also breakfast is also very good and offers a lot of options. However, the neighborhood is really bad. A few patrons that we met during our trip got mugged twice right outside the hotel. We did the other Windsor in Copacabana for the most part and then this one and I can say that copacabana is a far better neighborhood to stay at. Taxis and Ubers are cheap here too. Will be avoiding Centro in the future unless to go to sambadrome.

Hotel is very central in Rio with good transportation options to different places, however the area is limited, unsafe. Hotel is good, good breakfast, room is good size but outdated. Offers park in lot under a fee. I will stay again

The hotel was wonderful! It is in a neighborhood that is not safe for tourists. So I would recommend staying at this property if you are a confident traveler that speaks Portuguese. The staff was kind and did the best they could to communicate with us! Which, I am so appreciative of!

Loved my stay! Very close to Confeitaria Colombo, Museu do Amanhã, Mural Etnias, Candelaria and several other iconic points. Breakfast was great and staff very polite.

Convenient hotel in Rio downtown, needs a bit of renovation but space is good enough for a couple. Breakfast is very good and hotel staff friendly and prepared for the amount of guests as they have 400 plus rooms. Unfortunately the area around is not that safe but good means of transportation to other areas in Rio

We arrived early and the staff was very nice in allowing us to check in early. Services were generally good during our stay except the taxi service. When we asked the staff to book a taxi for us, we expected the hotel to call for us some reliable driver that they worked with but he just stepped outside and stopped a random taxi from the street. The car was not in good condition and the driver not only took a detour, illegally changed the meter to peak hours but also dropped us off at the wrong hotel! We ended up paying almost double and experiencing fear during the ride. Although we felt safe inside the hotel, remember the property is located in the Centro area, where homeless people sleep on the streets and there is quite some trash around. However, it is centrally located and a lot of attractions are within walking distance. Right before we checked out, we were informed by the staff that weekend is the most dangerous time around Centro because local people do not come in to work and robbers get away far more easily than during workdays. So, pros and cons; just be informed and stay alert all the time.

Fiquei 2 sias pedindo sabão líquido. Reclamei 3 vezes até que fossem repor. No quarto haviam 2 telefones. Nenhum funcionava. Eu usava o telefone do banheiro para me comunicar, mas por causa do eco era bem difícil que me entendessem do outro lado. A camareira me disse que não aguentava mais trabalhar no hotel, pois estavam em duas funcionárias apenas trabalhando no domingo. O que salvou foi o restaurante, cuja comida é excelente. A área também não é das melhores. Não indico.

We’ve been travelling round Brazil. This is by far the best hotel we’ve stayed in. Service is excellent. Except there was very little service by the pool.

It was pleasant except for the customer service. We never got the key to the safe box and the hotel does not have wash cloths (smallest towel). Another comment is that only people at the front desk speak English.

Nice hotel but not good for business meetings
Hotel staff was good at check in. Everything is nice. Hotel is a little dated. Only problem I had is I had a business meeting and they would not let the people I had for the meeting with into the hotel. I guess a Brazilian thing. So can’t stay here again because of this issue.

It was perfect stay but they didn’t have iron in the room or microwave . That gave us problem as we had to wear clothes with out ironing . There was laundry facility but they take one day to deliver iron clothes . That’s a big minus point

Location was great for what I needed. Near Metro & SDU Airport. The room was a little sparse but clean & comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff was friendly & helpful. The only problem I had was that it is a large hotel and even with 3 elevators it sometimes took a long time to travel between floors.
