Stay away if you can.
This place is maybe a $75/night motel. The outfit that owns this place also owns Cobblestone in Ripon. I have stayed here many times for the last 20 some years. I have watched it go downhill. They charge what they do because they can, not because this place is worth it. They put no money back into the place. Zero. So it is getting very old. In my latest stay, the TV didn't work. Now they require an additional $25.00 security deposit. People behind the counter do the cleaning. It is so not worth it. But you have no other choices in Ripon

We found a thick silver ring in our bed that was between the mattress and sheet. This makes me think the sheets weren't changed/ cleaned. The breakfast was terrible. Even the bacon tasted old & reheated. Nothing impressive about the hotel at all.

Property is dated, but comfortable and quiet. Room was not cleaned entirely before our arrival, there was an open jar of pickles left in the fridge and a used bar of soap left in the tub. Caulking/trim around tub had crevices attacking mold and mildew.....

The room was smaller than most hotel rooms but adequate. It was very clean with well maintained furnishing. Breakfast options were not appetizing with a bland sausage of unknown origin and eggs. The charge was a bit pricey for a motel in a town that is not close to any major cities or attractions.

In regards to pricing: while we would like to price our rooms lower, our current prices reflect rising costs, and you will likely find that less expensive properties are not able to offer the same amenities (free high speed WiFi, parking, breakfast, swimming pool, etc.). Morning Employee is HORRIBLE
The woman that checked me in was phenomenal and very friendly!! She tried to help me with my concerns and what was wrong. The man that checked me out was rude and SO very unprofessional. Didnt want to listen to my concerns, wouldnt even listen to me when I express i purposely got a king size bed room the hot tub and there was a sign saying Out of Order. He said....too bad, already checked you out. The list is WAY longer but i dont have the time list it all

This place has seriously gone downhill over the years we have stayed here. Our room stunk like mold and had spider webs everywhere. The pillows stunk like Body Odor. However, I definitely appreciated the staff trying to be as helpful as they could. They all were helpful….except for the night shift guy with the ponytail he was tooooo professional and OVERLY serious about his job to the point it made us uncomfortable. We were completely bummed about the hot tub no longer being open. I think we will find somewhere that will maintain their property and amenities next year unfortunately.

Overall-staff was good, property was mediocre.
Property needs an update and deep clean for sure. All of the staff were super friendly and appeared to be trying their hardest. We didn’t use the bedspreads on either bed, as there were stains and maybe blood on the other. We would’ve asked to move to a different and maybe cleaner room, but this was a major aviation event and we knew there wasn’t anything else available. The spa was not working and the pool was pretty cold. We did a thorough check for bedbugs and didn’t see any evidence. We also set some traps, and there wasn’t any. The breakfast each day was “meh”, but at least my kids had a little something before walking all day.

Beds were fine, 1 room had a damp-rid container in it that was gross and had an odd smell but turned the air on and smell went away. Bathrooms very old, no water pressure. Hot tub out of order. Staff during check in were very unprofessional and talking about personal things with each other and showing pictures on cell phones to one another while we were waiting to be checked in. Spider webs in stairwells. Overall it was an OK stay, but could use some effort from staff and some updates.

We were able to replace the hot water recirculation pump, so we have hopefully solved the water issue already. The rooms smelled extremely musky, the carpet was not swept, the shower tub did not drain and we had to shower in a half a foot of water. Not worth the money.

The property was clean around the outside, the hot tub was down my room was left open when I got to it the bedding was not properly cleaned due to laundry not being ready before staff left. The best thing was the breakfast and my light was out in the bathroom my whole stay. I was very disappointed for the price I paid.

Arrived at property at 930 pm to find no one at front desk. Called the number and it rang through to a phone at the desk that went unanswered. We waited for 20 minutes and still no one came to the desk. Found room key with our name on it at the desk and went to room. The next morning we went to check out and the manager accused us of "stealing" the room key, refused to apologize and called us a liar went we detailed the story. An awful customer experience; I'll never return to a Boarders hotel again.
