“Best Budget Hotel I've Ever Stayed In”

We were attending a fall wedding in Dubois, just south of Yellowstone, but the hotel rates there seemed pretty pricey. They were cheaper in Riverton, just an hour away, and the reviews for this hotel stood out as very positive. So we booked it - and we weren't disappointed. The hotel doesn't look particularly special on the outside - ye olde budget motel - although they've clearly been making upgrades. On check-in, the clerk (who seemed to be one of the owners) gave us a room in a far back corner. "The quietest room we have!" He wasn't kidding. It was very quiet. No complaints there. And the rooms have all been recently upgraded. They weren't huge, but the furniture was more akin to a three- or four-star hotel, not a budget motel. Great wardrobe and dresser, professional desk, easy (and free) Internet access, granite (or very good faux granite) in the bathroom, and excellent climate control to boot. Continental breakfast was basic, but free, tasty, and served late. If I have to travel to west-central Wyoming again, I'll definitely stay here. This is the best budget motel I've seen.

“Looks are deceiving”

Pulled up in front of motel and it looked like a dive. Got our room and were amazed. One of the nicer room we had on the trip. Completely updated. marble in bathroom, new a/c, comfortable beds. Their in a remodeling mode and left the outside until last.

although the motel is not as big as we used to live. but the service there is very good. and the location is far away from yellowstone about 3h. we stay there for one night and go out to yellowstone. it is a convienient place to rest youself and start the real trip.

“Not Riverton's Best”

This motel does not present well. The car park and surrounding area is unkempt, disorganised and generally poorly kept. The stairs and passageways on the top floor are dirty and noisy. The room we had was clean, however they are quite small when fitted with two queen beds and the decor is dark and rather depressing, and the bathroom was tiny. I would certainly not recommend more than a one night stay. It seems that the closer you get to major tourist attractions motels in the medium price range become a lot more expensive and the quality drops accordingly.

I don't think I would stay longer than one night. The breakfast was adaquate.

Riverton doesn't have much going on.
