The staff here was great. Many reviews complained about the noise from the bar downstairs but we didn’t have any issue. There are certain things to expect when staying on fifth avenue and noise comes with that. The property was great and location was perfect.

Nothing unique, they never delivered the bottle of wine per stay, the outdoor jacuzzi was dirty with a big dirt stain, water came in through the glass door during rainy days, makijg a poddle, the shower handles need to be replaced,nit steady and the water sink splashes water all over, they charged me $14 dollars for a hair dye stain in a white towell that im sure when they do the laundry it would come out.. Disappointed.

Definitely liked the hotel an very great location on 5th Noise at night from downstairs restaurant is loud but not hotel fault. There was a few minor things like no access to stairs instead of elevator on ground floor. The place is definitely worth a stay an staff were very helpful

I'll start with the positives: Great location close to everything, and adecuate professional staff. Air conditioner works. Fine if you're there to party and crash. We are Canadian/Mexican couple who live in Mexico, and we only stay at vip properties when we book to ensure a great stay, and this hotel was the first time we were let down by Expedia's VIP/star qualification. Honest review: The hotel was run down. It did not have a café, or any food and beverage service as advertised, and you couldn't bring in food or drink to the pool area, so we couldn't really stay and enjoy much. The mattresses were cheap, springy and hard. The pillows were low quality, uncomfortable and lumpy. The sheets had stains, and were not tucked in. There were no facecloths, or glasses in the room. We had no shampoo. The jacuzzi tap had 1 minute of hot water, so we were unable to use it There is a noisy bar directly downstairs. Very noisy until 12:30am.The AC was so strong, I requested a blanket, and I was told they didn't have any. I went and bought one because I was THAT cold. When we requested a room on a higher floor, they said they would address it, but never got back to us. I would not consider this a 4 star, much less a vip hotel & will not return.

I booked here due to last-minute travel plans and I ended up staying an extra night. The staff was very kind and welcoming (Andrea, Caro and Paulette) as well as the housekeeping team. I did not initially get my room upgrade but honestly, I was fine in the standard King room I booked. It was very clean and comfortable. The bed was heavenly, and the amenities were great. Andrea was very apologetic and upgraded my room, which was much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Location, rooftop pool/area are great as well. I did not have any noise issues, despite being right on 5th.

This hotel had very nice furnishings but they appeared unkept. The TV was damaged, the jacuzzi had some strange discoloration and the light only partially worked in the shower.

So the best thing this place has going it is the location!! Right on 5th ave., it’s surrounded by restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc. Beach is not too far but they do have a nice rooftop pool. Rooms are in good condition, place was clean.. what I didn’t like was that I needed to speak to someone about my reservation before arriving…. I called (from USA) no answer.. had someone that lives in Playa Del Carmen call… no answer(he tried three different t numbers posted on website) even expedia agent called… still no answer… I kept calling several times, but nothing..if yiu are in the service industry please pick up the phone… it’s only courtesy to your future guests…

The only thing good was the staff. Its a shame expedia sell a hotel in a bad situation. Room floor its cracking. No hot water at all. Inly cold water for a few minutes per day. Toilets no water to flush. We had to take shower in another room because was the only room with hot water. ( eletrical shower ) USED FOR ALL THE HOTEL GUESTS). I asked for change room but staff says they have the same problem inall rooms. By the night we cant sleep because the water bump was make to many noisy. Giving us a hope that by the morning we gona have water but was frustrating when we open the faucets and nothing more then a few water drippings. The breakfast was in a litter restaurant near. Food was good but no enough. If we need eat more we have to by extra for. Extremely disappointed and for sure we going to use another web site for searching and booking our next vacations.

Nos quedamos solo una noche y fue TERRIBLE! El llegar nos dijeron que no había agua caliente y que si queríamos cancelar era directo con Expedia pues ellos no podían regresar el dinero. A la mañana siguiente ya había agua caliente pero no salía agua de la regadera cuándo la ponías del lado caliente, nos tuvimos que bañar con agua fría. El A/C no funcionaba, estaba helado el cuarto y si apagabas el A/C te morias de calor porque el ventilador tampoco funcionaba y así en todas las habitaciones pues pedí que nos cambiaran de habitación porque tampoco salía agua del grifo para lavar las manos. Al hotel le hace falta mantenimiento, no se ve como en las fotos y el elevador hace un ruido como se se fuera a caer todo el tiempo. La chica de la recepción fue amable al final entendemos que no es su cumpla sino del dueño del hotel. La persona con la que te comunicas por WhatsApp supongo es el mánager no daba soluciones solo se excusaba y su solución al final fue ofrecernos un masaje de 20min que NO aceptamos y el desayuno continental que teníamos incluido nos los cambiaron por uno full. NO RECOMIENDO! 👎

This property is not for light sleepers. Constant thumping from downstairs bar at night time heard in two different rooms I was given in. The interior room is slightly less but it is still heard. The beds did not seem hygienic—sheets were so old they were practically see through and had lots of stains. Pillows did not have pillow covers just pillowcases directly on the pillows. I showed the front desk and asked if she would sleep on those sheets…she didn’t answer. Good facilities but sadly they need to make small investment on their soft product.

Worst experience with a noisy room. We can't believe that a bar is just in the floor below. So noisy that we needed to sleep with earplugs the whole week. Definitely not recommended. Not worth the money paid. Very expensive for what it was.

I was really desappointed because i was expecting more from this hotel services was good the poople were really nice to us, but in the room it was not hot water, the balcony was really small and the pool chair was durty with smell of humidity.

Awful! Trust the reviews, not the pictures, the pictures must of been taken 7 years ago when they opened. Roof top pool has no bar or hot tub like the pictures show? The bathtubs in the rooms are disgusting, hair and dead skin shoot out of the jets with the crap water pressure. Bedding is not "luxury" lol, far from it. I was promised a bottle of wine with my VIP status and never got it even after asking 3 times! Don't ruin your vacation by staying here, waste of money.

We love this resort was right on 5th Avenue. Close to food, shopping, everything... we had a balcony that looked down on 5th. We also enjoyed the roof top pool. Our stay was two nights which we felt was just perfect before heading to an all inclusive out of town. The staff was wonderful, bed was comfy & had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

we checked in, went into the room, door has marks of having been forced at some point, the safe was no bolted at some surface, noice from outside was exaggerated. lobby was dark. in the entire hotel there was only pne person working. he did our registration, he gave us hes personal whatts up, in case we need somthing.we went to take a dinner. when we come back we decide no to stay in this hotel. we feel really insecure since the doors are open.noice is no going to let us sleep, and is no staff in the hotel. we came to talk with de person than did our check in. he said he can no do anytging since was saturday and the manager will be back thill monday. we leftt and find other hotel (fiesta inn)we lost our money of 8 nights. we still waiting for somebody to contac us. reservation was on de name of pedro and alicia villarreal
