Amazing honeymoon at the resort! Awesome property and staff is top notch

Overall a nice stay. The grounds were kept in excellent shape, very beautiful garden and property. Very kind staff for the most part. The food was okay over all, eventually we found the things to eat which were really great and worth it (Mexican food of course, no surprise) - note however the a la carte menus were not very good (and were a bit hard to get a booking at a time you wanted). Finally, as other commenters mention, the beach was not good because of the algae which was a bit disappointing not to being able to snorkel. The staff definitely try to keep the beach clean though, so this is not their fault. One negative thing to mention: we were travelling with a 7 month old baby. We had to leave for the airport for at 4PM and we had to check out at noon. We asked the front desk if we could have a late check out so we could put the baby for a nap in the room, and they said we can only do this for a fee. This was really quite disappointing at a family resort. We ended up avoiding the fee and put the baby to nap in the lobby (in baby carriage) as the heat was too intense outside. I wish they had been more flexible due to the young age of our child.

Spa was good, food was meh, scam for unlimited vacation club was annoying, pool needed to be cleaned, alcohol was AWFUL - clearly refilled bottles with what basically amounted to rubbing alcohol

Exceptional property in every aspect!

We would highly recommend Grand Residence. We have been to many resorts in Mexico and this resort went above and beyond on so many things. Before we even left home for our vacation we were contacted by the resort to get our flight information so they could coordinate our pickup and departure transportation. They also asked what our likes, dislikes, and preferences on dining times. When we arrived at the airport our transportation was waiting for us and greeted us with smiles, cold water and a nice cool towel. When we arrived at the resort we were again greeted with smiles and a welcome cocktail that our transportation driver had called ahead to order after asking what we would like. We were taken to our Ocean view Jr. Suite which did not disappoint. Our room was large, comfortable and the view of the ocean and pool was beautiful. Our fridge was stocked with water, beer and a variety of Soda's. They stocked fresh fruit, dried fruit and other snacks for us. The bathroom was nicely stocked with everything you would need. The pool and pool area were very nice and they had an adults only pool with a swim up bar. The beach was beautiful with soft powder sand and very little seaweed as they groom and clean it several times a day. We did the all-inclusive package and the food at the resort was very good with many options. Our concierge on arrival to the resort had already made all of our dinner reservations and had set us up for special theme nights. Service at this resort 10/10.
