So Nice, We Came Back!Posted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: Ahi tuna with jalapeno sauce, watermelon agua fresca, comfortable beds, private pool in the room, incredibly helpful staff.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: You are cheating yourself if you do not go to Hartwood, about a mile up the road, for possibly the best food you will ever eat.
We loved BeTulum when we stayed there in May, so we came back in late October, and we'll be back again. It's at the very end of the hotel zone, making it a quiet haven, but just grab a bike if you want to get out for a bite to eat, an amazing cocktail, or do a little shopping. The place attracts an eclectic, cosmopolitan, and friendly clientele, so you'll probably meet interesting people. They have live music a few nights each week, and a movie night outdoors on Wednesday at the bar. We spent most of the week just enjoying the sun and drinks on the comfortable beach beds or lounging in our room's small private pool and hammocks. The staff make sure your entire stay is memorable.

Zen paradise on the beachPosted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: The hotel is small and charming. Great attention to all the details. An dream for those who are visually driven.
Location: Be Tulum is on the south side of the groovy hotel strip which keeps it quiet. It is 10km from the town of Tulum which we enjoyed for a few dinners.
Be Tulum did not disappoint. All the gorgeous photos on the internet were fair representations of this beautiful boutique hotel getaway.

Worth It? Absolutely.Posted Jun 2, 2013
Pros: The restaurant is world-class. Fresh local ingredients and lots of creative flavor pairings made every meal memorable.
Cons: You're staying off the grid, so be prepared. Tap water is not drinkable, and toilets cannot flush toilet paper. Not a big deal, though.
Location: Somehow, this little spot of paradise has not yet been paved over. If you go, please respect the environment and leave it as clean as you found it.
Just perfect. A handful of quiet, secluded rooms is hidden in the jungle, just behind a breezy beach. Each room has a small private pool or jacuzzi, along with deck chairs and a hammock. Sleep in, then head out towards the open-air restaurant for fresh orange juice, agua fresca, and a little breakfast. Borrow a bike and head up the road to bar hop and visit the local shops. Then come back and camp out on one of the shade-covered beds on the beach. The wireless works fine, but consider leaving the electronics at home and remembering what it's like to be unavailable to the world. If your idea of a beach vacation is parking yourself at an ostentatious, all-inclusive resort, this place is not for you. No crowds here. No screaming kids. No drama. No Senor Frog. Just 20 rooms, incredibly friendly and attentive staff, fresh local food and drink, and a respect for the environment. We're already trying to figure out when we can return.

Nice hotel and great value in NYCPosted Apr 24, 2013
Pros: Very convenient location; spacious and comfortable rooms
Location: Convenient to Soho and Chinatown, and near the main subway line that goes to Brooklyn
This Holiday Inn is probably the nicest one I've ever stayed at, and definitely a great value for a hotel room in New York City. I've stayed in numerous NYC hotels and usually they are cramped, outdated, noisy, etc. The rooms here are larger than the average for Manhattan (I would almost say they're spacious!) and the location is right next to Soho and also very convenient to Brooklyn. Both times I stayed here the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I can't comment on the food or bar as I have never even thought to use them, with all the great options within walking distance. I'm sure I'll be back the next time I'm in town and need a hotel.

Wonderful beachfront hotel.Posted Feb 11, 2013
Wonderful hotel ! It is set up so that you feel like you are in the middle of a jungle -- look out your window and see palm trees. Because of the lush vegetation you really can't see the other units and it feels very private. The trail from our room to the restaurant/beach was lovely. The breakfast on the beach every morning was great and the staff is very attentive. You can lounge at the beach and have food and drinks brought to you. We felt pampered and enjoyed our stay.

A great experiencePosted Dec 8, 2012
A great experience Minor glitches such as limited Wifi and non functional music system not working could not mar a great six days. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant was really good. With only 20 rooms there was lots of space and privacy. The beach was great and the entire hotel compound was of soothing design, integrated into the landscape. The rooms had all the comforts required for relaxation.

A vacation like no other.Posted Dec 8, 2012
Pros: wait staff at the restaurant were attentive, friendly and caring. the food was amazing, especially the fish tacos and the breakfasts
Cons: there were none. everyone from housekeeping to laborers were conscientious of us being the guests. hellos and smiles were everywhere
Location: quiet location, exotic and romantic with a fabulous view of the ocean. well maintained and very clean . perfect for newly weds or couples ,no kids.
.this was a family vacation, all adults,.. we arrived in november and booked two rooms.the reception desk was outside surrounded by palm trees and sand. we followed wooden planks placed in the sand to our units. three of us on the second floor and the rest one floor up. each unit was in a different area. each had one big room with 2 comfy chairs and a big bed, and a jacouzy, one outside shower and one inside. . the out side patios either had a net swing or 2 wooden lounge chairs and again sourrounded by trees. one had to relax for there were no t.v s or radios. the walk to the beach on the wooden planks was surrounded by trees, plants and flowers.we had each breakfast outside on wooden tables and no matter where we sat the ocean and sky was our view. the covered beds and chairs were comfy and clean, changed daily. towels were provided and flags placed in the sand had the wait staff at our service for drinks or food. BeTulum, we all agreed was the best vacation we had ever spent together.
