Yes, Cancun has a seaweed problem, but at this hotel, the issue is a lot worse. Lack of waves keep seaweed in the water rotting near the beach. Water is brown, almost sewer like, including a strong smell coming from the decomposing seaweed. Because nobody can use the beach, pools are overcrowded and dirty. Hotel should be disclosing this to allow travelers to make an educated decision.

Nice and small hotel, but ocean was full of seaweed, which is not hotel's fault. The food was better than same level All inclusives. But the ocean was a huge disappointment.

It is a beautiful resort, our room was awesome with a plunge pool. The spa was great. I had my hair fixed and had a couples massage. We were there for a wedding. Everything went well with the wedding. Would definitely go back.

Cons: Food. Tried 2 a la carte but the food was just passable
Excellent hotel. Very good staff, helpfull and always available. Beside 2 days where the begening of the tropical storm Bill drowned us in rain so even food and room service were very limited due to lack of ingredients, the remaining of the week was wonderful. The food was passable at lunch and dinner but everything else was excellent. The SPA facilities were world class and personel very professional. As seen in most reviews the beach is full of seaweeds and unpleasant to swim in but the sand is cleaned daily and is tropical white. Special thanks to Alondra and Ricardo from VIP service, to Jesus from world café and to Angelica for the room cleaning.

First of all we are terrible sorry to hear that the weather condition did not allow you to enjoy our resort as you wish you should have, this destination is absolutely amazing and offers great options for all our visitors but on the other hand there are natural conditions that happen that are inevitable, trying to look the positive site is that with the hurricanes unlike other natural disasters that does not have any warning at least a week before it gets to the destination we can be prepare and know how strong will be. Regarding your comments about our gastronomical offer , we are terrible sorry that our six á la carte restaurants, one buffet restaurant and themed nights around the pools did not meet your expectation and because of that our overall rate has affected. We would like to share that our property had a recent participation in the Food and Wine Cancun Festival, which is an important gastronomical event with the participation of the most representative world renowned Chefs. Our Executive Chef was pleased to present the French Restaurant Bordeaux in this important festival, where he had the opportunity to show his delicious creations. We understand that the food could depend on our visitor´s likes, nevertheless we appreciate that you have shared your impressions on this matter and be certain that we will share your comments with the department involve. Regarding your comments about the beach, it´s important to inform that this is due to a natural condition from being so close to the second biggest reef in the world, as a natural reproduction process the reef creates seaweed to sustain the marine species. Unfortunately it’s not possible to stop an environmental process, nevertheless we have continual cleaning program twice a day to decrease the impact on our guest´s vacations. We would also like to share that the beach color and seaweed is also affected by the weather condition such as rain and wind. We truly appreciate your understanding on this matter. On the other hand we are very pleased to read that there were other great aspects from our resort that made you enjoy your vacations such as our Spa facilities and services and the attention that you received from Alondra, Ricardo, Jesús and Angelica would be delighted to learn that you have acknowledged his hard work and that we are proud to have him as part of the Dreams Riviera team. We stayed a week at this resort for a wedding we attended. It was fantastic! The rooms had very cold air conditioning, were cleaned and turned down twice daily, and the daily announcement flyer was helpful to know what events and shows were going on at the resort. the wedding was unfortunately rained out, but the staff promptly moved it to an indoor location and it was beautiful. Top shelf alcohol was a nice perk compared to other resorts we have stayed at. The food was nice, especially the steaks. Only (slight) complaint is the bartenders were not quick to serve, as they were having their own conversations many times. But overall- it was clean, beautiful bliss!

I came here with my husband and 15 month old son. We had a wonderful experience. Staff was great. Pool area was wonderful for adults and kids. Food choices were plenty. Very accomodating for our little guy. Will be back to this resort. And no wristbands is a huge plus. Liquor is top shelf.

Pros: Everything was great!
Cons: Nightly floor shows could be added.
Location: Mayan Riviera has more things to do & see than I had to time to experience.
Stayed for five nights, in for a wedding. I was impressed at how well everything was organized. The Mexicans were very friendly, food great. I went on two tours off hotel site. The great service just continued on! I will return again.
