El Dorado Casitas Royale by Karisma All Inclusive

Excellent high end resort with high quality food and beverages. Excellent grounds and rooms and spa!

Customer service from the reception and welcoming staff, urgency and attention to detail, quality of drinks is incredibly poor at this hotel. The beds were rock hard. Pools are unheated.

Amazing experience and great couples getaway. Like many others have said, the D' Italia was amazing and our favorite restaurant. Best breakfast was surprising at the Asian restaurant! We mostly stayed on-site the other time and even took advantage of 2 extra activities that they had on-site, parasailing and wave runners in the ocean. Both great values ($124 USD total for 2 parasailing, $50 per wave runner for 30 min and 30 min is plenty). The nightly entertainment was surprising great as well. Had a couple hours to waste on our travel day out and actually took a cab ($25 each way) into Play de Carmen to do some Silver bartering and that was easy enough and a fun experience.

At age 40, this was the First ever 'all inclusive' trip we have taken. I researched and researched before booking...I just returned yesterday from El dorado Cassitas 11-29-12...I must say that this was one of the best trips ever....No regrets on doing alot of researching.. Food is -Great and plentiful!, Drinks-plentiful--alot of Top brands too..I am a Captain Morgan guy--they have plenty of it...All big name Vodkas etc...Beer--only the mexican ones--no Ultras or Bud Lights:) but whatever.. Staff was super! We stayed in a Standard Cassita...which we recommend (no need to upgrade unless you want to have swimup), however, all areas of the resort are superb...The cassitas just have their own bars within each section if so desired... I have read reviews about 'too much walking etc'' not really unless you just can't or dont want to walk at all, plus there are little golf carts roaming everwhere in the evening to carry you around.. The sand bags were in the water as I had read about--no big deal! Met alot of great people there to hang out with and have fun... We have been on 7 Royal Carribean cruises--no more of those for us.. We cannot wait to return to El Dorado Cassitas !! Already booking for next yr..

The service , atmosphere, quality and overall experience was fantastic. I've traveled all over the world and this was by far the best ever.

Absolutely fabulous hotel: very romantic, ideal for honeymooners and those who celebrate special occasions. The food in the restaurants is second to none, personal concierge service is flawless and is very very useful when planning your activities, making dinner and spa reservations, etc... All the staff in the hotel is really professional and they treat you like royalty. The sandbags in the water are there for preventing erosion and they make the water ideal for swimming (otherwise the waves would be quite strong). This place is beautiful! The food is fantastic, the staff is excellent, and the whole property is very well maintained and truly a wonderful place to relax.

We just got back from a 5-night stay and it was great. The Casitas are beautiful and we loved our own pool and the lazy river to the main pool. It was never crowded and we instantly got served at the swim-up bar. The food was great, better than all other all-inclusives we have been to in the past. (about 10 different resorts around the aread) The staff was great for the most part...super friendly! The only reason we gave it a 4 out of 5 was it was so spread out and the shuttles (golf carts) were hit-and-miss and the resort was only at 60% capacity. I can see a positive to it being spread out by not being congested with people, but the restuarants are all over the property as well. We were lucky in that we got Casitas 31 series so we had a lunch grill at our pool area...all others had to come to our area. The only other negative's were our concierge told us a few things that turned out NOT to be true...and that got me at the spa for $500.00 when we were later told others had been offered the same package for half that price. The beach was also eroded pretty badly, but they did have great beds to lay out on and we spent most of our time at the pool. ADVISE: Barter on the spa services as they will come down and add additional services to get your to schedule with them. Tip the golf cart shuttles and hold your money out when they drive by...more likely to stop for you.

Execellent vacation in casitas section #32! Paradise!!

It was great. The food had greatly improved since I was there in 2010.
