Exceptional Service and AmenitiesPosted Nov 4, 2014
Location: The Wet n' Wild waterpark in Cancun was fun and you can swim with the dolphins right there.
Everything here from the food to the service to the room was A++. The beach was nice and the activities were awesome. Enertainment was provided each night at one of the bars or on the beach.

Dream VacationPosted Jul 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
We've never visited the same place twice with the exception of this resort. We were so blown away by the quality and service five years ago that I begged my husband to let me stay longer. I am pleased to say it was even better than we remembered when we returned this year. It is definitely an intimate "spoil me" boutique resort - great for honeymoons, anniversaries and couples. They have thought of everything and go out if their way to make your stay extra special.

Not a 5-star PropertyPosted Mar 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
Nice beach. Room comfortable but dated. Infinity pool too cold to use. Staff pleasant but not very competent. Stick with the buffet or room service. Table service marginal quality and poorly trained waitstaff. This would be at most a 3-star property anywhere else. I would not go back to this place again, many other properties to chose from in and around Cancun.

Great food, drinks, views, beach and staffPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Small and secluded, with hardly any other hotels around.
Location: Playa's shopping district was beautiful, felt safe and made for some great people watching when we needed a break from the hotel.
I wouldn't change a thing. Our hotel room complete with a private pool and 24/7 room service made our honeymoon amazing and everything we were look for at a great price.

As close to perfect as you could hope forPosted Feb 22, 2014
I don't expect perfection, and there were a few things to quibble over, but overall we were incredibly happy with our stay. Very nice room (honeymoon suite). Did have an issue with a light that took too long to resolve. Food was good for the 6 nights we were there, but we would have gotten bored with the selections if we had stayed any longer. Beach is beautiful, but the marina is right next door so it's not always as peaceful as you might hope for. Staff is incredibly courteous and nice. Overall though, as I said, we were very impressed. They will bend over backwards to take care of you.

Second honeymoon was a little piece of heavenPosted Feb 3, 2014
Cons: The quality of sushi, could have been a bit better. [although good!]
Location: 10-15 minutes away from Playa del Carmen. Free shuttle buses go on Sundays & Wednesdays. Tours & excursions through Lomas leaves from same beach!
My hubby and I went for a "second honeymoon/almost 1 year anniversary" trip. We are huge fans of the Karisma hotels, and have stayed at 5 of them to date. We are always impressed by the amazing staff, and at EDM it was no different. Everyone met us with a smile and went well above our expectations. We stayed in the presidential suite, #910, absolutely breathtaking! Two floors, fully stocked bar & fridge, along with great amenities & toiletries. Beach was one of the most beautiful we've seen south of Cancun. A very quite resort, so go here for ultimate relaxation. Only 1 bar open late at night, where they have performances & shows. Crowd was very mixed, from young adults to retirees. We loved how small the resort was, so nice to not have to walk a half/full mile or more to each restaurant [compared to their 2 mile long sister resort, El Dorado Royale, Casitas]. Restaurants were good, the only one we didn't care for much was Italian. The sauces were a bit too heavy for my husband. The Asian was good, especially their rolls & dinner cooked to order in front of the restaurant. I have Celiac, the staff were very attentive and were sure to use separate/clean utensils and preparation areas for my food. I did not have any sickness throughout our stay, I was very impressed!! They had gluten free bread fresh daily, as well as pancakes and French toast the chef made in the mornings for me :) All in all- a beautiful resort, amazing rooms and staff, and outstanding beach.

Very friendly staff. Always willing to please.Posted Jan 27, 2014
Pros: The friendly, sincere staff!
Cons: More beach beds/cabanas needed or a time limit put on them. One needed to get up very early in AM to lay claim on one of these wonderful beach beds.
Location: We enjoyed the cenotes. Tulum is a very surreal and beautiful ruin to visit as well.
We stayed at the Maroma because our son was getting married at the resort. The accommodations were beautiful and clean and super comfortable. The friendly staff made our stay delightful and relaxing.
