Great hotel!!Posted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: Everything because is really clean.
Location: The location is perfect, it is on the 5th Avenue.
We stayed one night this month and it was just great. The hotel is near from everywhere. The front desk staff is always helping. It was what we wanted to enjoy our last night in the beautiful playa del carmen.

AveragePosted May 9, 2013
Very Average, Would have liked a bit more. Has a restaurant in the hotel that can get a bit noisy at night. Its a 30-50 peso taxi from the ferry

Another week at Hacienda MariposaPosted May 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very well situated (off 5th) - the staff are really friendly. I had a single room the last 2 times on the first 9second) floor - a bit noisy from the restaurant but after diving all day who cares ... but next time will request a room that does not have an adjoining door to the next room - you take your chances on whoever is in the next room.

Right on 5th avenue at the heart of shoppingPosted Apr 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very clean and quaint ... excellent design .. jungle in the middle Our room had two windows .. one overlooking the street and the other overlooking the courtyard from the third floor. No elevator ... no parking not a problem .. one block away free parking on street Bed was super hard .. I liked, my man thought it was like the floor ... haha Great stay

No gym, no parking, kitchen smells in the nightPosted Feb 23, 2013
There's no Gym. Near to the hotel is one commercial Gym but you need to pay 15 bucks for it. The other issue is no parking near the hotel. Everytime I spend at least 15 finding a place. An Italian restaurant work in the main floor, so every night a smell of kitchen is in the rooms.

Good for the Price and excellent locationPosted Feb 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were supposed to have wifi in the room but it is only in the common areas and very slow. Location is excellent, rooms are too small and if you get a window to the 5th avenue you will have a lot of noise during the night. The room is clean and service is good as well as the restaurant.

Bare BonesPosted Jan 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was fine for my purposes; a place to sleep and a place to shower, but beyond that, it was very minimal. Was a little disappointed by the quality in comparison to the advertised picture of their rooms. Internet was a little spotty, but worked.

Good location but a horrible room that tiny.Posted Dec 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is in a great location but we had a horrible room. We asked to switch rooms and pay more but the staff claimed that there were no more rooms. We checked online and there were rooms available. This was over our 20th stay in Playa del Carmen and the first time that we have been unsatisfied with our room. Our room was extremely small and there was a door to the ajoinging room. We could here the talking, snoring, coughing of our neighbor. The beds were small and we could open every door while in bed. The entence, the fridge and the bathroom. The bathroom door and fridge door actually hit the bed. Two people could not walk around the bed at the same time. Beds were hard but that happens sometimes. We purchased a room at another hotel a few minutes away the next day. We removed our belongings to the new hotel and the staff finally at the hotel finally tried to accomidate us when we checked out the following day. We stayed at their sister hotel the Bonavista Mariposa 7 months ago and enjoyed our stay there but after our recent experience we will probably avoid both hotels in the future

Great Hotel!!!!Posted Nov 29, 2012
Pros: The staff and location
The location was really good! The hotel was really clean and the staff were beyond nice and helpful, every need was taken care of immediately. Great breakfast at a local restaurant!! There was noise coming from the main street avenue 5 but it wasn't that bad at all!! Not at all like in the reviews some people have written. Good hotel no complaints! Had a great time!

Great place for the pricePosted Aug 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very nice and very helpful staff. Small, but clean and comfortable room with private bathroom, nice TV and small refrigerator (bed was a little hard but sleepable). Great little place for breakfast (La Vagabunda) right across the street.. Free wireless internet available. It's right on Avenida Quinta-- the heart of nightlife and shopping life and downtown beach life in Playa. It is about a mile and half from the ferry to Cozumel and the bus station but a cab only cost $50 MX (about $4.00). We were staying overnight before going on to Cozumel. I would absolutely stay there again, even perhaps for longer stays.
