“Great, brand new!”
Hacienda Tres Ríos is a fantastic hotel. I was a little upset that the gym and a couple restaurants weren't even open yet, as the hotel was brand new when we went, but they should all be open now. The staff is fantastic, very nice!! They have great activities that are included in the hotel all inclusive package. I would take the cenote tour and bike tour. It's nice because it's at the end of a strip of hotels, so there aren't people from other hotels walking on the beach, so it's not crowded. The food was very good and room service is included. The brick oven pizzeria was also fantastic. Massage was just okay, not worth $100, I wanted a "California Massage" which is supposed to include reflexology, deep tissue, sweedish and a couple other things, but I simply got a swedish massage. Great place to stay!
“first ever all inclusive vacation........excellent experience”
great hotel lots of activities at the hotel to stay busy
“A Quiet and Friendly Resort -- Loved it!”
This was the first vacation we'd taken to Mexico. The front desk was very helpful and assisted you immediately with anything (calling cards, keys, calling a taxi, etc.). The servers were happy to see you, remembered your favorite drinks, and really seemed to enjoy their jobs. Premium liquors are included in the package, so is the mini-bar, room service, and onsite tours to the cenotes and nursery, as well as snorkeling and bike riding. There are 5 restaurants onsite, including two that were AMAZING (Asian fusion and Mexican). HTR is located on a 300+ acre nature preserve. The cenotes were gorgeous and we often had them to ourselves. The beach, while not crystal clear, was nice and quiet. Although the resort was booked full, it never felt crowded. We could always find seats around the pool or beds on the beach. Service was always quick and courteous. The rooms were beautiful, everything in marble. The feather-topped beds are SO comfortable. I walked up the beach on day to check out the other resort and felt nothing but relief that we'd chosen Hacienda Tres Rios. I cannot recommend this place enough. There was a little dodging of the time-share folks. We managed to get out of a "meeting," which other guests complained took almost 4 hours! I'm not sure how we escaped this. Luck? Having spoken with people who had a timeshare, they did tell us that Hacienda Tres Rios was the nicest resort they'd ever stayed in, and that we were ruined for any other all-inclusive place. Awesome
“Awesome hotel! Will go back again.”
Anyone that wants a unique resort stay should come here. This is a new hotel, eventhough they are independent, they are really careful in all they do. I was really impressed with their eco programs. We had a tour that explained all they do. They mentioned that Green Globe had given them a recognition as the top hotel in the world. I want to bring my kids so that they also learn about the care we should have with the environment at the same time that they have fun.
“BEST ALL INCLUSIVE EVER!!!”
This was the most amazaing hotel! The staff was outstanding! I cannot even explain how wonderful the service was! Words could never do it justice! I have never had a better experience, and I travel often. The hotel is so clean, the rooms are great! Comfy beds! Room service included in our package was nice too! The beach was beautiful. Fun things do all day, bike tours and kayak tours of the beautiful nature park, wine tastings, shows!! The food was great too! We absolutely loved Porto Bello!!! The Mayan Coffee is a must! The beach is beatiful! There were always chairs at the pool! I just cant say enough good things about this hotel!!! I cannot wait to go back!!!! You will not regret staying here!!!!
“The best all inclusive ever!”
I went in June 2011 with my 2 daughters (4 and 10 years old) and my husband for our yearly vacation, and we had the best all inclusive vacation ever. The food at the Hacienda Grill is excellent. The seafood and steak are top quality, and the presentation is great. Manny is the best waiter in the whole hotel. The cafe has a nice ambience, and service is excellent. The cenote and bike tours are surprisingly enjoyable since they are free. I would definitely go back.
“Terrific Time at Tres Rios”
My family had so much fun during our long weekend at Hacienda Tres Rios, and we would love to go back. The property was beautiful. The food ranged from good to excellent to deliciously bizarre (cricket dumplings, anyone? Actually, yummy!). The three of us (parents and teenager) shared a room with a Jacuzzi on the balcony, which was a treat. The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and clean, and we had lots of space. We enjoyed the all-inclusive character, especially as we were there for a wedding so there were lots of large groups for meals - no figuring out bills was needed. The pools were fun for everyone. The adults liked the cenote treks, which we found not at all challenging, although some other visitors had indicated they were strenuous. The river kayaking was wet, messy and fun. Some people were not adept (to put it kindly) and that added even more to the hilarity. The cenote snorkeling was very easy and the fish on the cenote bottom were interesting. The beach was gorgeous and our friends got married there at sunset by a Mayan shaman - the ultimate romantic wedding. The weekend was a relatively expensive one, but we felt that we definitely got our money's worth.
“Excellent Hotel”
Is an excellent hotel
“Great vacations”
We stayed a week at the Hacienda Tres Rios. The hotel is very recent, rooms are very comfortable, great pools, good variety of restaurants and good food quality (for an all-inclusive), and very friendly / helpful / warm welcoming staff. The hotel is located in a large nature park with mangrove & natural rivers, offering plenty of possibilitiies within the resort itself. Only default : while the beach is very well equipped with nice beach beds, and clean fine sand, I was missing the clear blue water. Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a very well equipped and maintained hotel.
“Exceeded our Expectations!”
When planning our first trip to Mexico, we figured it would be a fun and relaxing ttrip, but not a "repeat destination". After six days at Hacienda Tres Rios, we can not wait to go back! We were looking for an all-inclusive package--convenient and easy-but did not want to stay at a "mega-resort" with average service & food, & swarming with hundreds of people. Hacienda provides several meal plans, including an all-inclusive at a very reasonable price. Because the resort was smaller, the service was more personal and the food was great. The resort made it easy for us to book excurisions--with the company of our choice--as well as arranging transportation to the nearby towns. Although we spent a few days off the resort, there are a multitude of activities on the property. The nature park is beautiful, and provides kayaking, snorkeling and swimming in the cenotes & river system. They also provide several tours, showcasing the nature park & nursery, where they are dedicated to creating an envirionmentally friendly & sustainable property. The resort is dedicated to green initiatives, which was another HUGE selling point for us. We were so pleased with all aspects of the resort, honestly not one complaint. Ideal location, great service, just the right size, and beautiful natural setting with all the modern conveniences.
